I've actually noticed the problem seems to happen a lot when editing characters, and a disconnect during a match is far more likely if you've edited equipment, powers or weapons before starting or searching for a new match. I'm beginning to think the issue isn't the connection between the computers involved in the match, but the connection to EA/Bioware's server(s) that stores character info,
Editing and all things in multiplayer, other than asking for a game through origin, basically use UDP. Changing anything will increase traffic. Networking software is very weak, it won't matter if you have a good network or not.
