True story. Has no impact on the amount of silver you loot but vastly improves your loot quality!

I just activated my Guild Master's belt for another play through and I'm getting expensive gems, chest pieces galore, enchanted bolts/arrows, etc. May be sheer luck but I also got Sophia's rare shield on the first kill in Warden's Keep.

Anyone else seeing vastly improved loot quality when using items with this mod? (Also, Nightmare mobs never dropped Lyrium Potions of any kind for me until I equipped this belt, now they drop as frequently as Health Poultices).

Increased Monetary Gain = Better items for the merchant?

EDIT: Just looted Asturian's Chest with Leliana (who is wearing the belt) and received:
1x Asturian's Might (Static)
1x Heavy Plate Armor (Veridium)
1x Shadow Belt (Static)
1x Heavy Chainmail (Steel)
1 Gold 50 Silver

Totalling to about 5 Gold (Sovereigns, w/e) in loot, and I'm only Level 8. Every other playthrough has yielded crap from that chest other than the sword and belt.

This belt, like many items with properties in the game, unfortunately does absolutely nothing.

At least, it has no effect on the treasure generation system at all. In fact, it doesn't even increase the amount of coin you get as random drops.

Money is generated based off a flat number applied to the enemy, then multiplied by a modifier that is 6 * Level * Level. You then randomly receive between 80 and 120 percent of this final value.

Anyway...

I suggest if anyone seriously loves this game that they never open up the toolset and start poking around or they will be severely dissapointed by a lot of the things they find :P

I've only got the escape from Drakon Fort, the elven alianage and the landsmeet/final battle and I have never seen a lyrium potion from mobs. I still only got 10 or so in total. Never had to use a single one so far so never had the need to craft any.

I got no idea if the monetary bonus has any effect on the quality of the loot, but if you install the mod tools you can easily enough check the scripting behind the monetary gain bonus.

Can you give us more examples of what items do nothing?

dwarf merchant belt increases the coin you get from quest rewards. not by much though just a small bump.
