Q can be for Qunari :)

Also, these initials can be for last names...=/

Edit: I highly doubt they won't show a glimpse of Alistair. Especially if you made him king :pinched:

The only Q name i can come up with is Quentin. He might have been carrying around a soulstone or horcrux. You can never tell with necromancers....

Do writers have a different crunch time than the rest of the dev team?

I don't know if they do but John Epler also mentioned the cinematics team was crunching at about the same time.

(But what someone said above about writers having their own intense periods of development seems to be true from what we can read, even if - say for ME3 - they often continue to refine and rewrite things right up until the end of development)

I sure hope Anders doesn't come back. His story is so friggin contrived. That and many of us killed him in DA2 (not that this has ever made a difference, but still)

I think we will see him as cameo. Birrer role they don't give him- he already changed the world.:wizard:Also F- Fenriel.

"You can expect the return of these characters: A G Q also f. Im the only one laughing at this?"

I read this literally. Like, the characters (letters) A, G, Q and f will definitely be in the game. You know, like probably also P, K and W. (But the name guessing game is much better. :P)

Awesome, next question:  Is Q romanceable? etc.

Mark was clearly referring to characters as in letters of the alphabet. This speculation on initials is pointless. Unless you're all being sarcastic and it's gone over my head...

At least we know literally one letter is enough to spawn pages of debate.

Not so much sarcastic as.... bored  because this thread has been rendered stillborn due to a lack of  *any* Developer input, and thus the attempt,  on our part, to spawn some sort of marginally entertaining discussion anyway.  aka, the name game.

Personally I don't think the question is Mark Darrah's to answer in the first place.   He's not a Writer.

It seems the writers are on a roll!!

No one kneads to tell Sheryl what to do. You won't find her sitting around smelling the flour!

Well played, Caliban. Those are some excellent bread puns.

Edit:  Oh wait, I've got one!  Hope the delay in DA3 info means the plot isn't half-baked
Sorry, that was awful.

Oh no, my heart just broke. Of course, maybe they just haven't contacted him for any Alistair type voicework. It might be too early, especially in May. Then again, if they're already doing VA auditions....

I also agree that it's a silly pun, but just for the sake of being ridiculous, I'm gonna go ahead and call it: A is for Andraste and she will totally be romanceable. Of course, hooking up with her calls down the wrath of the Maker upon your PC and is an instant Game Over. (Kinda like trying to get with Morinth in ME2)

On the subject of non-serious guessing games, I just wanna note that Galyan begins with a G.

I don't mind if Alistair isn't in DA3 (in fact, I'm a little happy about it if it's true). Don't get me wrong, I love Alistair, but I don't want Bioware to fall into the habit of having the same cameos with every game. If it's a minor cameo like Bodhan/Sandal or something, that's fine, but major characters (imo) should only appear if it makes sense for them to appear. A little fanservice is okay, but overt pandering drives me crazy (see Yoda's appearance in Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2).

Also, it is frustrated to watch inside the twitter oven and wait for the hints to rise.

But seriously, I think I know what the bread means. Loaves of bread must be replacing cheese wheels in all of the levels.

This doesn't necessarily herald the end of the cheese wheels. Rather, it may be a case of players getting the ingredients to a sandwich. DA2 had cheese wheels, the next game will have bread...and perhaps the one after will have cold cuts. Or a plate of ham-that-tastes-like-despair in every building.

I think he might be busy with the new comic " Those who speak" .It's said to be released on 22 Aug.

They butter not be loafing around! They mayo may not be working on the next DA,, but it would be the coldest cut of all if nothing was due anytime soon from them. They might themselves in a bit of a pickle if all of their jobs were outsourced to New Deli.

I think you may have found the true purpose behind the DA franchise.
I guess they weren't kidding about the cheese wheels being the key to all of Thedas's mysteries.

And oh my god, the bread jokes.  They're so bad, but I can't stop laughing.
