"Drink Iron Bull, it gives you horns!"
Perhaps not...

Iron Bull was a Qunari or Kossith... Something like that, who likes to fight and get drunk and sounds kinda like a big version of Oghren lol. Sera was some bratty Elf rogue that likes stealing things, Dorian is a Tervinter magister that doesn't behave like normal magisters and doesn't like what they've done to his homeland, apparently he's supposed to be a peaceful sort of Mage, and finally there 's Cole from the Asunder novel, no one really knows what he is... Some kinda ghosty demon/spirit or something.

At the risk of being the outlier, Iron Bull sounds too much like a refreshing beverage than a companion.

Just because it was closed doesn't mean it was fake- though I have my personal doubts. They should have let it stay open so we could assume fun things.
I agree, it's fun to speculate. Besides it's not like they're giving us any real stuff to scrutinize, we need something to entertain us!
EXACTLY
I'm so bored of not hearing a word from bioware, so i'll take any leak, real or fake.

It does tell us that they have bovines in Thedas though. I guess they must be off hanging with the Horses and Female Dwarves.
If he were to be in the game then what would the protagonist refer to him as? "Iron"? I can't imagine him being referred to by his whole name, or it would get very tedious very quickly

We saw oxen in DAO. The traveling dwarven merchant (Tegrin) had oxen.
Well that just shows how good my memory is. All I could remember were the chickens in Lothering.

Maybe that's the only oxen in Thedas?

You know, none of those proposed companions were mages. Regalyan, maybe? The Tevinter Magister was a mage.Curses! Lola beat me to it.
Still, there were only four companions in that list. Traditionally, there are always at least two of each type of class (two warriors, two rogues, two mages). Assuming the Iron Bull is a warrior (and I don't see how he couldn't be), that leaves one mage spot and one warrior spot open.
I think they are trying to split the genders in the classes evenly now too, but that's just a guess.

I wonder what everyone will look like? Will the DA2 companion's and NPC's that come back for cameos look pretty much the same as they did in DA2, or will they look completely different?
I think i remember them saying a LONG time ago, like soon after DA2, that DA3 would keep relitively with teh same art style. So like ME2 -> ME3 kinda.

That's not so bad I guess, the characters and NPC's etc just need a bit of a polish and they'll look loads better. Kinda hoping the environments will look more like The Witcher 2 though.

Apparently there won't be any ME3 announcements or anything, so I guess it's possible that they might be there for DA3 reasons. The ME3 DLC news Twitter said the following:
"@ME3News: No confirmation that anything #ME3 related will be shown, maybe something #DA3 related."
It's not an official Bioware twitter page, so that's probably nothing.

On a side note, can we get a LI this time who isn't disturbed by some spirit/devil? I've had enough of Anders. <_<

And here I was hoping that they would announce the release date for the new ME3 dlc. Oh well. But then if they talk about DA3, I will be happy too. I mean, they have to talk about one or the other, right? (Jessica is DA&ME related, if I'm not mistaken).
On a side note, can we get a LI this time who isn't disturbed by some spirit/devil? I've had enough of Anders. <_<
Amen to that!

Iron Bull just makes me think of a Brazen Bull....which maybe is their intention if the guy is supposed to be some badass.

But, (if it's true) then maybe they wouldn't be overly worried about the distinction. (I would have thought they would be, knowing the way the DA writers talk about all things qunari; pedantically.)

Unless it's Sten's new nickname. Maybe he mellowed out and learnt to have fun after hanging out with the Warden for a year LOL!
THIS would actually be SO amazing! LOL
I know I've said it before, but I'd find a Kossith with a similar mindset to Maraas' much more interesting than some random, run-of-the-mill mercenary that happens to have horns. Having to deal with your past and integrate into a new culture without losing who you are or letting the world around you shape you... that's a story I'd like to hear.
