Don't get too upset about the fate of your favorites at this point. The "leak" was as fake as fake gets. Either that, or quality standards have gone down tremendously. Even without the unprofessional wording and amateurish character concepts, no editor worth his salt would allow a marketing survey to go out with that many spelling and grammatical errors.

Speculation is fun, though, so there's no reason not to carry on. Just understand that it is speculation. They'd really better throw us a bone soon. We're 10,000 monkeys in a room full of typewriters. Sooner or later, somebody's going to get it right completely by accident.

Not gonna attempt to sway your train of thought, don't really care to but humor me, what spelling and grammatical errors? I certainly saw none

Something I just noticed about that leak is that it says "Orlais is the most power empire in Dragon Age", "The once unified faith of the Dragon Age world" and "the world of Dragon Age is one on the brink of collapse". Shouldn't that be "Thedas" not "the Dragon Age world" - strikes me as very amateurish to not refer to the area in which it's happening by it's proper name.

Also, the DA team has better writers than that. From a stylistic point of view, it lacked polish.

So no spelling and grammatical errors then? *smug smile* I could bother explaining why a marketing survey isn't lore specific but I'm going to let you think about the word... 'rough draft' for awhile

You really don't see the very obvious grammatical error in that? Public education is clearly going to the dogs. I'll make it easy for you.

It's patently obvious that you made the whole thing up. Let it go.

Berelinde , I swear she didn't made it up.
Look up for some popular survey site , I found the DA3 survey pretty easily.
It does exist , it's on some survey site , now it could be fake, but i really doubt it.

Edited and re-uploaded, no doubt. Lola saved the original "screenshots".

Even so, the thing reads as if it were written by the guy in the mail room. Unprofessional, unpolished, and trite. BioWare wouldn't publish anything so juvenile.

But yeah, we're done. At this point, I'm just feeding a troll.

Anyone can upload anything to a survey site. That doesn't make it legit. Industry professionals wouldn't rely on a "popular," easily-hacked site for something with the potential to materially damage their business. They've got their own domains, a signature "look" they use for anything franchise-related, and most importantly, professional writers.

People with real information are under gag orders.

Believe what you want, obviously, but don't be surprised when you find out that you were mislead.

I said it before i saw the same thing happening about a sims expansion.
A survey has been found and months after it turned out to be almost 100 % true.

And again they were some artwork that we've never seen before ,they seemed legid.
But yeah , it could be fake .I have no crystal ball.

My point is Emzamination is not lying ...

I'm not saying it's true or false, I simply pointed out that it seemed weird that it wasn't refered to as Thedas. For the record I quite like the storyline concept... Not sure on the characters, but we'll see.

I wanna take the survey.

Galaxy Next Door had a article about it on their website that has been taken down.

When rumors get yanked for whatever reason- leads me to believe there is at least SOME truth to it.

Everybody'd probably do best to keep an open mind but a critical eye. Seriously. It could be everything, it could be nothing.

In the meantime, it's at least something for us to talk about.

I was pretty harsh on those character descriptions, but then another forumite and I were talking about how hard it is to represent a character in just a few lines. Aveline was my favorite. What would we say about her?

Aveline: A tough warrior-woman with man-arms who always speaks her mind. /pass

Isabela: A horny pirate who drinks like a fish and wears no pants. /pass

Zevran: A plucky assassin who shags anything that's beautiful. /pass

... see what I mean?

Of course reading a few line about a character can't make it justice...
But the What's his name Bull Guy ...if it's true they need to change some names. And Sera ...I thought it wasn't a name but a title or something.

it does sound a bit ridiculous ...

Unless it's Sten's new nickname. Maybe he mellowed out and learnt to have fun after hanging out with the Warden for a year LOL!

THIS would actually be SO amazing! LOL

I know I've said it before, but I'd find a Kossith with a similar mindset to Maraas' much more interesting than some random, run-of-the-mill mercenary that happens to have horns. Having to deal with your past and integrate into a new culture without losing who you are or letting the world around you shape you... that's a story I'd like to hear.

Seconded, the description did say at the bottom he'd have trouble letting go of old loyalties and in origins sten talked about meeting the warden on the battlefield one day, makes me wonder if the warden has turned evil or something :?

I used to name my fHawkes Sera just so that it would sound like everyone was pronouncing her first name when they said "Good day, Serrah!"  Image IPB

BTW, does the title Inquisitor make anyone else think of this?:

Not to ****** on anyone's parade, but if the guy is named "The Iron Bull," that would suggest he has horns like (some) bulls do. Sten did not have horns.

@Lola: Or it could be utter fabrication.

We saw oxen in DAO. The traveling dwarven merchant (Tegrin) had oxen.

Well that just shows how good my memory is. All I could remember were the chickens in Lothering.

DA:O had all sorts of  scenery Fauna.  Many people have forgotten this in light of DA2, which had none.

DA:O had Oxen, squirrels, chickens, halla, nugs,  birds....

I think Sten's battlefield line was in reference to the possibility of the Arishok sending the Qunari against Ferelden.  That was the point of Sten being there, to learn (about the blight, about the people) and report back to Par Vollen with his findings.  If the Qun demands the Arishok could send the faithful to invade.  I don't think the Warden would need to be evil in order to end up in a battle against Sten.  Besides, I think Mike acknowledged in a tweet that there's a lot of fan sensitivity around the Warden and they don't want to rock that boat.

+ rats, wolves, blight wolves, and bears - though they might not count, since they were enemy combatants.

And DAA's Ser Pounce-a-lot.

DA2 did have birds, but a sad lack of any other wildlife. The closest you got was animal sounds — snakes would hiss on the Wounded Coast, wolves would howl at the Bone Pit and frogs would ribbit in Legacy.
