If it's true, anyway, and if it's still true by the time the game ships, I certainly hope it's not just horde mode, or just the main campaign implemented as "I'm the chosen one, and this is my buddy Steve."

Co-op? Social interaction, yes!

It's worth pointing out that the article actually misinterprets what was posted posted here, those were open-ended questions about player preferences (as in, "Would you say you like or dislike...") and not confirmed features per se.
Still, co-op could be done well. They'd have to manage the PR carefully.
That's if the surveys were accurate - I'm thinking they are, but nothing is confirmed.

The article seemed to think that the plot blurb strongly hinted at a co-op mode, but having read it, I don't see it. There is nothing in it that makes me think things are happening with other players, rather than npcs and companions in the single player campaign.
I'm not saying that co-op won't be in DA3, cause who knows? Just that, if the leak is real, it doesn't seem to hint at it particularly. I might not have seen all of the leak though.

At least three people said they participated in an online survey about a future DA game, and their accounts seem to match up with each other and with other examples of, say, concept art that we've seen previously.
One of the questions asked for opinions about game features, including co-op - but it didn't actually say anything about it being in the game, see the post I linked to in my post above yours.

But the priority should still be single player, because that's going to be first playthrough for most of the players i think.

(1/3) I know a lot of folks have questions for me, recently, regarding some DA information that's been careening around the net....
(2/3) We're sticking to a "show me when you tell me" approach, so I won't be addressing the questions until we have gameplay to show...
(3/3) However...I'm listening, and reading. We'll try to make sure your questions are addressed in time. Earnestly: thanks for your patience.

Mary Kirby @BioMaryKirby
It drives me nuts when people use "Kossith" to refer to Qunari and Tal-vashoth. It's like using "****** Sapien" just for people from Boston.
Mary Kirby[/b]
@BioMaryKirby
@ Wierdo Queen, "Kossith" is an antiquated technical name that's only used by Qunari priests. To everyone in Thedas, they're just "Qunari."
@BioMaryKirby Is there a good way to to refer to said race that doesn't imply their religion/philosophy or rejection thereof? Am curious
Mary Kirby[/b]
@BioMaryKirby
@ cogsandcurls, Nope! The Qunari don't need one, and the rest of Thedas sees all giants as the same. The only people who care are Tal-vashoth.
@BioMaryKirby I think it comes from trying to figure out what you're supposed to call Sten when there's elf Qunari like Tallis.
Mary Kirby[/b]
@BioMaryKirby
@ Barbeuxbot, You call him, "Sten."#WhyDoHumansComplicateThings#Humans#Sigh

Well, a qunari could be an elf, human or dwarf too. If I'm going to talk about the biology of the race of giant men/women with/without horns, I'd call them Kossith. If I'm going to talk about their society, in which other races could be integrated, I'd call them qunari.

The hashtags in her last comment makes me wonder if she might not be tweeting in character. But who knows, I thought it was funny.

Another advantage to "Kossith" is it
means big ashen, somber thing that might have horns. A Qunari could be
some pointy-eared thing that excels at poverty.
This made me giggle too.

Except we're not people from Thedas , and we've been presented the name Kossith as their race.
I mean if it drives her nuts , because she thinks we understand the lore wrong , She could write a post about it or a blog ...
I don't know....
I'm getting tired of getting information via twitter like it's a common gospel.
No offence to her .

I really don't like twitter...I mean I have a hard time understanding most of what people are talking about.
It's like sentences coming out of thin air.
But i know one of the female writer of DA is the "qunari" specialist , wondering if it was her , and if she was really upset .

Yes, that would be Mary Kirby. I wouldn't worry about whether or not she was really upset.

It's nice that the qunari stubbornly refuse to make the distinction and other races are too ignorant to care, but I'll happily keep calling the race kossith.
Ha! Well, I don't want to annoy anyone, especially Mary, but it's really the only way to be very clear about whom you are referring to. There are just too many possibilities when you simply say qunari. I suspect she was just playin' anyway. *shrugs*

Exactly so.
On the forums, we're not all of the mindset that Thedosians will have -- and if we are, it's more often then not in jest from what I've seen. At times, there may even be some unenlightened bas that needs the distinction to be made apparent.
All in all though, I'm not bothered by her dislike of the word's usage. There are however reasons why it's said on the forums.

Hey man, sidekicks are important too. They often show up after being forgotten for a while and at the last minute, just in time to get their ass handed to them because they're not the chosen one. Then they get made fun of. A lot.
In essence, they are butt-monkeys. So always let your butt-monkey friend play as Steve! I'm sure we all have that one friend who is a butt-monkey.
