Although it was a troll thread, the "LOTR ORIGINS" thread had me thinking. Most western fantasy RPGs no matter how great they are when it comes down to it, are influenced heavily from Lord of the Rings. Elves, Dwarves, magic, etc. There aren't too many RPGs out there with completely original worlds. The only one i can think of is Morrowind with characters, architecture, and enemies unlike what we've ever seen. Any others? KOTOR doesn't count by the way because the star wars universe was created for it a long time ago

While this might be an interesting thread to pursue, it's not really related to Dragon Age as much as commenting on the market as a whole. Would be better suited to the Off Topic forum.
