Since I am not playing I don't have to worry about my displayed framerate as much, which sadly is not great when I am not the host (I think multiplayer is doing weird stuff with the page file bc my disk write performance goes way down).
I could record too, but I am on the opposite side of the world and the recorded videos would have terrible lag... But if someone does record, I think it is ok, if he assists during a hacking mission...
Mental focuser V? Power amp IV? 5/4/6/5/6? Very interesting. I'm curious why you chose N7 rank 5 power damage, but it looks like you were going for max ES damage without tech combos (then rank 5 ES in meaningless and at least rank 5 N7 gives more damage).
Ah extra damage vs shields too on the sword - I've switched to that now as well, preferring to just shoot the big armoured enemies. Much better all around.

In any event, it is still easier for me to see how an infiltrator, especially with the Piranha could solo Platinum then say a team can score 700000 points in a single 30min match. In fact, probably the easy way to solo Platinum with the Shadow would have been to max Weapon damage and just shoot everything with the Piranha. Might not have been as fast though.

I wanna see him play a fully damage specced (no shield drain or 40% DR) Shadow with no Bonus Power and no Cyclonic IV on Platinum on Wave 10. He has to be a god to pull it off. Teach me!
Is there an actual proof that Power Damage does more than just show a damage increase for SS in the UI? Last thing I know is that the damage bonus is just displayed in the UI without actually being in effect in-game.

Assist medal? You only get assist medal if you shoot the same enemies as someone else. Which can easily be avoided. What's to stop somebody to rocket everything on objective waves so he doesn't die etc. You can still get that score with somebody helping you.
Honestly, anyone who has even attempted to solo platinum will know you're gonna have a really hard time making it to wave 5 without dying once. Let alone completing the run with consumables remaining.
And notice how he starts the extraction wave with full HP/Shields. That does not happen on platinum, sorry but it doesn't. If you complete wave 10 with full shields/hp and with that amount of ops survival packs left, and in 40 mins on top of it, it cannot be legit. Also with his shadow he's in the middle of a pack of hunters, there's some phantoms over there as well and he's running around uncloaked for a few seconds without enemies shooting at him. You tell me if you've seen that happen in a platinum game? Cause the moment I pop my nose out of cover, the phantom snipes me. Hell, she snipes me through slits in the walls that my bullets can't pass through. So tell me, still think that's legit?

their misiles can follow you to the infinite and beyond, it happened twice that I teleported while the misile was already in the air and it turned back and hit me behind the atlas... that must be fixed.
And if you ask me whether I believe him, then I say:"Yes I do". The build he showed is pretty clever, he takes only 4 in electric slash, so he balances out the cooldown (which he did not take in electric slash) by taking more weight capacity in the N7 tree and the damage he balances out by taking the power evolutions in N7 and the mental focuser... that is pretty clever. But anyways a recording would be nice

Yeah, I must be cheating right?, but before say that I suggest you to try to play at 8-11 FPS and then tell me if you play as good as you usually do at 30 .
it is really problematic due to frame rate, but I recorded some of the gold's wave 10, I can try to record one, but it will be much more harder for me and If I see it impossible I will continue only showing extraction. Besides, I'm not trying to convice anyone, people who believe and don't believe always will be there no matter what
You did it with the N7 Shadow even without the TC bonus power and only 6xx shields, wow good job . Now, it will be very nice if you let other players learn your play style(as N7 Shadow). Posting the extraction wave and the build/strategy doesn't really help. So be kind, and record with the same exact settings only the first 3 waves so that we can improve our play style :innocent:.

It could have been 49 shotgun kills, but yeah that was the only one that was sort of strange to me.
As for medigel and rockets, it sort of depends on what objectives you get on when you might need to blow them.
He had 3 / 3 / 3 left right?
I am not sure Cyclonic helps you as much as since a lot of attacks take you to gates anyway, unless you have a crapload of base shields anyway.
u speced power damage/weight on N7 5 -- was that to buff Electric Slash 4? devs have said power bonuses don't affect Shadow's STrike's melee damage but the powers displays shows it buffing it?
notice that most of your equipment was for buffing power damage-- is it because you want to buff only Electric slash or do you think it affects Shadow STrike too even though dev has said it's supposed to be melee damage on SS only?
of course, just because devs said it, doesn't mean it works like that (ie, ULM still NOT working on smg's except gsmg, LOL)
Testing by BSN-ers has proven that passive power damange bonuses DO affect SS. Also, Rank 6 of Sword Mastery is being found to not affect SS, only melee/heavy melee strikes. I'm respeccing my Shadow to 6/4/6/5/5 due to this since I don't use actual melee much.

The R4 sword damage evolve in Fitness does still work for SS, though, right? And does the 40% DR decloak bonus sitll work if you don't use SS at all during a cloak? Trying to make sure I nail down a build here before committing a card again.

Well, let's put it in this way. I have horrible PC, I have horrible connection, both things makes me almost hate play with teams, i love it, I just can't play properly with teams in high difficulties because I am always teleporting all over the map because of lag, since demo.
So, I started soloing since demo, first solo on demo was in bronze, human vanguard, the same day of relase of demo, then did it in silver at the other day, then more or less one week later I do it in gold.
Since that time i've been soloing every day, and probably I can assure you that I have soloed more than everyone here, because I do it everyday, my average of games at day is more or less 15, and probably I play like 2 or 3 with friends, remaining ones are by myself, which means that I have the enough experience doing this to be able to do it and probably more:wizard:.
And notice how he starts the extraction wave with full HP/Shields. That does not happen on platinum, sorry but it doesn't. If you complete wave 10 with full shields/hp and with that amount of ops survival packs left, and in 40 mins on top of it, it cannot be legit. Also with his shadow he's in the middle of a pack of hunters, there's some phantoms over there as well and he's running around uncloaked for a few seconds without enemies shooting at him. You tell me if you've seen that happen in a platinum game? Cause the moment I pop my nose out of cover, the phantom snipes me. Hell, she snipes me through slits in the walls that my bullets can't pass through. So tell me, still think that's legit?
Actually when I started to record seconds before press to start recording I used a ops survival, you can notice that if you look carefuly at the video in the first second, you will notice a bright blue color in my black armor.
To complete it in that time you have to kill really quickly, which the shadow cannot do. Shadow isn't a DPS character, so telling me you've completed platinum as quickly as my boss killer destroyer smells like BS to me.
Can do it, also batarian can kill faster than GI, maybe not with your statistics or your style, but with me it works in that way, absolutims again, that's not good.

From now on I call HAX on every RedJohn "Solo" unless I see him play 1 full late wave on Platinum. And I'll shut up, apologize and sing praises to him if he proves me wrong.

The Shadow is my favorite character,. I use her constantly. My only complaint is how weak she is. The enemy can spit on you & you drop dead.

Basically, cloak, SS a weak trash mob, with martial artist the second SS will be more powerful so you can SS a sub boss and follow up with a heavy melee. It'll kill pretty much anything on Gold/Plat. Also, take something light so you can have a fast CD. Use ES for Atlas/Primes. The real weakness of the Shadow is that it's kinda weak against armor, so AP ammo or Incendiary ammo is needed.
As for the strafe dodge, it can work non-host, if you have a decent ping.

It's a great and fun character, but the GI can out DPS it by a fair margin.

And even if you're a brilliant tactician and execute every shadow strike perfectly without getting hurt (which is impossible) you still won't come close to the raw DPS of a destroyer or a GI. Both the latter kill much faster. Now if a GI with Krysae, one of the most OP builds in the game completed platinum solo in 40 min, you can't tell me a Shadow managed the same time. To top it off it's on Vancouver, where spawns are so random that 9/10 times you'll get a brute spawning right on top of you. Yet, despite that, RedJohn has a ton of medigel and survival packs left.
