If he's using a shotgun, I agree. But then again what GI ISN'T using a shotgun? Too boring for my tastes.

And even if you're a brilliant tactician and execute every shadow strike perfectly without getting hurt (which is impossible) you still won't come close to the raw DPS of a destroyer or a GI. Both the latter kill much faster. Now if a GI with Krysae, one of the most OP builds in the game completed platinum solo in 40 min, you can't tell me a Shadow managed the same time. To top it off it's on Vancouver, where spawns are so random that 9/10 times you'll get a brute spawning right on top of you. Yet, despite that, RedJohn has a ton of medigel and survival packs left.

i tend to agree with you here unless redjohns pc runs the solo game at such a low res and framerate i,e 10fps or below so the enemys are litrally crawling i cant see it happening.

i can do normally the 1st 3 waves without needing an ops pack or medigel sometimes i need to medigel on wave 1 depending on the character im playing but im playing on the xbox at 30fps..

About sometimes being able to kill phantoms in one shot, does the 20 second damage bonus from fitness stack every time you kill something? If so that could be what's causing it, sometimes you've just racked up enough kills to do the damage.

Shadow is one of my favorite classes now as well, infiltrating _and_ swords is easily the best combination in any game for me (if it works, and the Shadow does

As for the matter of cheating, if I (I = worse than RedJohn at soloing by far) can get in my first (doubt this was your first Platinum match...) Platinum match with what was essentially a half solo/duo team to wave 6 with a Disciple without any armor penetration mods (Disciple = _way_ worse than the Piranha lol) with one missile used, I think the legitimacy of this run is quite understandable

I solo'd gold today with the shadow on Vancouver. I have max weapon damage in the passives to utilize my harrier VIII equiped warp IV, melee gear, all melee equipment, a cyclonic modulator IV, and a piercing mod. I used duration and bonus power to wipe out small fries with SS, and the run took over 40 minutes. I used all 5 rockets, all 5 thermal clips, 2 med gels and 3 op packs-again I did this on gold not platinum. Supposedly this guy ran a faster run with a glass cannon build on platinum all the while not using any rockets until extraction-please. There is BS written all over this op solo claim.

The shadow is probabily the easiest character to solo gold with but platinum is a choir because of her lack of damage output.

A good player knows the finer points of legit runs and I'm sorry John but yours smell fishy.

Hes so good at solo because no one cant play a full match with him, he lives in Dark Space so whenever he hosted my ping is over 9000. /foreverRedJohn

U must be really good player to do Platinum run in 46 min, i seen solo golds where people do it in over hour, unless you post whole video i doubt anyone will believe u as quite impossible to do it no matter how good you are.

The Inconsistency with SS comes from the extra 50% damage you do after killing an enemy with SS/Heavy Melee in the sword mastery tree I believe.

Great job; I have yet to unlock this class. To the guys who worry if he's cheating, I think that at least the score at the end shows something like 300 k + or whatnot, which is nromally around the sum of platinum scores in a game anyways.
