Missle Launcher definently needs to be looked at.

If the Missile Launcher would just LAUNCH every few seconds and then have the missiles track down SOMETHING, it'd work a lot better. I have to have a target lined up for them for them to fire, and often that target moves just as they launch so the missiles get 'lost' and hit walls and such.

However the Demolisher's Homing Grenades are programmed, move that logic over to the Destroyer. There's at least a good chance that when they fire over the head of a target you can see, they'll find a way back to it. The rate at which they just sail off into the sunset is far lower...

I think the thing alot of people are forgetting is that the soldier is supposed to be a combat specialist. Now with that said, The Destroyer is supposed to be the guy who breaches a room, kicks down the door and blasts everyone in it into fleshy orbit. He's a death machine. He's designed to be the end all bad ass when it comes to weapon damage and let's face it; he was designed with the Typhoon in mind. Yes, Multi-Frag Grenade is like the can opener to the can of kick ass he's about to unleash on every poor indoctrinated grunt in his warpath. The Missile destroyer is a support ability, it doesn't seem (To me at least) that the Missile Launcher was designed to be salt and pepper (Flavoring if you will) on his combat effectiveness. While yes I do agree that the "Missile Launcher", which I will hereby only refer to as the potato gun, is drastically lacking in the damage department that does not mean the the ability as a whole is useless.

I've found that if you use the missile launcher merely as a support ability in that while you peak up from cover you can get your bloodbath started. Using the Claymore, I've found that if you stagger them with a claymore round the missile launcher will provide extra damage so that you can reload and continue painting the walls with pink mist.

I fully understand, I'm not saying they are fantastic, I'm saying they can be used viable , I pretty much run the same set up as you on my first go with him, and it was no dout a better load out.

It's nice when a missile pops off inbertween reloads etc, can be a life saver, worth the level of sqishyness , prob not, but if your a person who likes to promote ( I'm not fussed for it but do from time to time ) I'm saying there are viable ways to play with it.

I think it's fine.

1.) It already fires automatically - meaning that it doesn't interrupt the RoF build-up of your Typhoon and yet it helps stagger enemies and forces phantoms into their power immunity stance, leaving them vulnerable to gunfire.

2.) No matter how heavy your loadout is, the cooldown time between missiles does not increase.

--> Taking into account these advantages it has, making it as powerful as or more powerful than Concussive Shot, Carnage or even Incinerate wouldn't be so fair.

But I do agree that the shield penalty should be slightly decreased.
