Yea I'm lost after lothering..... You can drift along the roads and I heard rumors of places that may need help. But for some reason the companions have lost their focus?  It's like where do I go from here? The game suggested some places but my companions don't seem to talk about where to go next in the same detail they did outside a certain hut *hint hint*.....

Is this where the rest of the essay gets boring?  Most essays start off with a powerful paragraph but then drift into mindless dribble.

I'm lost after lothering.... Kind of feels empty?!

I guess the game sucks after lothering? I need my companions to pull me into a convo and inspire me into the next objective.

A leader is only as good as the suggestions his followers make.

I NEED TO BE INSPIRED WITH MORE TRAGEDY! :) I guess the game has spoiled me so far.

Are you sure...cause lm sure the local ladies Pinup boy mentions a few times, even when you enter Lothering after giving the Bandits some what for...where he beleives you should go next.
And in the very same speech a certain Witch mentions where she beleives you should head next.

Maybe l was dreaming.

You're the hero there, not your companions - you're the one supposed to make decisions and take actions upon the information, of which you have plenty.

The game doesn't really begin until after Loithering, try checking your journal for clues.

I was expecting a big song & dance after lothering.  Like a huge meeting around the campfire with all parties contributing their ideas.

"We should go here.."

"no no we should go here...."

etc...

When I have to make decisions on my own the game feels like all the crappy RPGS out there like oblivion or the witcher.

Weren't you the same guy complaining about how the game is too difficult on Easy mode?

I'm finding it rather hard to take anything you say seriously for some reason.

I never found the game that made decisions for me and let me just stand there and look pretty. If I did I wouldnt play it though, sounds like the most boring thing imaginable.

You are sure making a character out of yourself on this forum, Gaxe. Are you sure we are playing the same game?

Yea yea, I suck at games, yadda yadda.

I just hate having to use my brain since I use it constantly at work and with women.  After those two things my brain pretty much dies and resurrects in my sleep.

So when my brain is dead I was hoping these companions would pull me into some poetic dialogue that would inspire me to go .............. <------ Here

I was hoping alistair would talk to me about where to go next by the campfire. Like an in depth discussion with discussions on strategy, etc.

Yes Muse011, he is the one that wants the game to play like a movie with very little action required on his part. This is probably the 6th or 7th topic of the type "lead me through this by the nose so I can move this movie along"

Go play Halo or something, I guess? One of major selling points of this game... like most RPGs and pretty much any Bioware game ever made... is that it's an open-ended story in which you decide how things happen. Decide, as in think.

I'd compare your complaints to something like "This Choose-Your-Adventure Novel is hard, I can't decide what to do. I wish it was like the Davinci Code where cool stuff just happens"... but honestly, you're probably not old enough to know what a Choose Your Own Adventure is, oi.

Don't worry man, just pick a place and go. The quest will procede on its own, there will be conversations and the plot will unfold. Theres not a pre-programmed order. And trust me, the game does not suck after Lothering, actually, once you finish the game, maybe you will even think that's Lothering who suck.

PS: When you got to Lothering, didn't Alistair mentioned something about wanting to go to Redcliffe?

(hope i'm not spoiling anything)

But isn't that exactly what happens when you enter Lothering? The game stops you on the steps for a conversation about where to go. Alastair tells you where you can go. He gives you his opinion and Morrigan gives you her opinion.

Heh I do know what choose your own adventure books are.  But see I read books to escape and leave decision making to activities of the day.  I'm not putting anyone down here, but you guys attacked first.

I just wanted to let everyone know I feel lost after lothering.  It's like wtf do I do now? I went to a certain tower and it just seemed so bland with no dialogue, no purpose.  The game all of a sudden felt like a stupid RPG like borderlands, obvlivion, witcher.  It has become a "game" and no longer this epic phenomenon of entertainment.

Since you need someone to tell you where to go... Go to Redcliffe. That's where Alistair wants you to go.

There. It's settled.

Yea that was cool. That conversation is what inspired me to explore lothering.  There was a discussion about where we go next and it gave going to the next place meaning.

But that seems to of been lost after lothering.

Oh his brain will melt down during the battle at Redcliff. Dozens and dozens of monsters coming after him and he'll want us to tell him an easy way to get past it without all that nasty fighting.

You can always dump the game and screw around on forum. Oh wait, you are already doing that, right?

Seriously.. I told you before, you need to stop thinking of this as a book. It's a game. It IS an RPG like Borderlands, Oblivion, Witcher. Nothing you say can change that.

This thread is going to become another flamefest very quickly, so I'm going to request a lock on the thread.

Yea, actually they mentioned multiple places.  But I'm so indecisive lol.

Morrigan was cool, she is like "let's go to lothering" and as a leader I'm like "ok sounds good".  Leadership is about deciding which idea of your followers is best.  I need my followers to really step up and suggest to me what to do in GRAND detail.  A 5 minute conversation would do.
