Oh his brain will melt down during the battle at Redcliff. Dozens and dozens of monsters coming after him and he'll want us to tell him an easy way to get past it without all that nasty fighting.

Oh man, i just remembered a certain "dreamy" part in a certain "mage" tower.   poor guy...:crying:

And a Bridge... Oh man, THAT BRIDGE!

Why man? I'm just talking with other people about the game? What is your problem?  I noticed when I talk on forums moderators always get mad at me.

Is it because I treat a forum like a chat room and talk to everyone?

No, it's because you ask for advice, get it, and then continue asking for advice anyway and keep the thread going for no reason. All the while you encourage more flaming by posting nonsense. That's why your "This game is too hard on Easy mode" thread got locked.

This topic in particular is completely useless. You're playing the wrong game- I suggest you move on.

Are you sure you are playing Dragon Age?

You can't really blame a game that is all about characters and story and leading your comrades to defeat some great evil for the fact it requires you to choose where to click on the map.

Out of interest, what RPGs have you played that you enjoyed and required no input on your behalf?  If it is just the combat you want, maybe try Streetfighter or something.

Yea I'm lost after lothering..... You can drift along the roads and I heard rumors of places that may need help. But for some reason the companions have lost their focus?  It's like where do I go from here? The game suggested some places but my companions don't seem to talk about where to go next in the same detail they did outside a certain hut *hint hint*.....

Is this where the rest of the essay gets boring?  Most essays start off with a powerful paragraph but then drift into mindless dribble.

I'm lost after lothering.... Kind of feels empty?!

I guess the game sucks after lothering? I need my companions to pull me into a convo and inspire me into the next objective.

A leader is only as good as the suggestions his followers make.

I NEED TO BE INSPIRED WITH MORE TRAGEDY! :) I guess the game has spoiled me so far.

You're the LEADER you decide, Alistair already suggested where you should go (redcliffe.) you can decide to go wherever you want, every companion will suggest within reason what you should do, however, they're not the one's wearing the big pants.

Deciding where to go is going to be the least of your problems once you get further into the game. Get used to making decisions because you'll have some tough ones to make later on.

The only RPGs I have played that are good are:

- Quest For Glory
- Kings Quest
- Betrayal At Kronder, Return to Krondor
- Dragon Age

RPGS that bored me to death and nearly killed me
- One I can't remember because I deleted it real fast
- Something that asked me to collect 10 feathers for 5 copper. (i deleted the folder, game didn't even deserve an uninstall)
- World of something.
- Oblivious or oblivion?
- The pitcher?  no no the hitcher? .... Oh wait, THE WITCHER.
- Something lands, the boundry lands.. Edge lands.. aah Borderlands...
- Descend out? jump out..... no no no fallout!!  Fallout 3, quite possibly the worst RPG in the history of game making. "Hi stranger, like this town? Yea the town is good isn't it? Don't do bad in my town. OK !!!"
- Baldurs pause... Pause baldurs.. "collect me 5 feathers and I will give you this chicken wing"...

I've heard that KOTOR is as good as dragon age, so after dragon age I will try kotor.

I'm massively confused - you now have DA on the list of games you like?

KOTOR is great, but follows a similar formula, involving choosing where to go etc.

I need some kind of epic dialogue to inspire me to go to the next objective like the conversation outside a certain hut after  a certain epic battle.

In the Lord of the rings movie everytime they decided to go somewhere there was an epic dialogue of a few minutes where the characters talked about and decided where to go.

Dragon age has done that every step of the way but it seems to of stopped after lothering.

Wait a minute... have you deliberately took the titles that almost all us of tell we like and simply told they all suck? This is like going to a barbecue dressed in a shirt made of napalm... Flamebait at its finest...

You're brave, i'll give you that, i would give you a helmet too, but i already gave it to another troll in another topic.

One person said to go and attack my enemy directly.  Another person said I should go seek out his pater.    One person said that magic people need help.

I dunno what to do? I really don't.

So far the consensus of you guys is go to redcliffe.

I just wish my companions would of stressed that more.

If you like any of the titles I don't like it means you're a gamer.

I'm not a gamer. I'm more than a gamer. I'm beyond your guys desperation. I only settle for epic games, while you guys settle for less.

Dragon age up to lothering is near perfection. It has everything.  After lothering the game has put too much power into my hands and well, I have to go to work soon and use my decision making there.

I need a meeting by the campfire.

I need sten, alistair, morrigan & leilana to all pitch in and decide where to go after lothering.  I need background information, strategies, discussions.  At least 5 minutes of brainstorming.

That will inspire me to go to the next place.

Grow up.  The only person showing signs of desperation here is you.

As for the rest of it, the game isn't psychic.  You choose to go somewhere and then all kinds of epic-ness unfolds as a result.

If you are genuinely asking for advice, then I suggest Redcliffe followed by the Circle.  The story, depending on your choices, flows from one to the other superbly.

I don't know if further response is just feeding the troll or not, but... guh, here goes. Gaxe, the " 5 min brainstorm" you wish the game would give you is what happened on the way into Lothering. You get to Lothering to familiarize yourself with how the rest of the game works... get some new party members, pick up sidequests, etc etc.

The reason there's no "what to do next" convo AGAIN, is because you already know what you need to do. Now it's just a matter of deciding what order to do it in.

If you want my opinion, go to Redcliffe, stop halfway through (you'll know when) to go to the Mage Tower, then do the rest of the Redcliffe quest, then the Elves, then the Dwarves, then finish up all your sidequests and go to the Landsmeet. The sort of epic, guiding hand of the story returns in the Landsmeet portion of the game. The middle part is getting all the allies for the final battle.

Sounds good so far.  Believe it or not I am listening to you guys.  It seems like redcliffe is the winner so far followed by the tower. I appreciate the feedback.

But I still don't like the fact I ended up undecisive on the issue. I kind of wish the game could convince me where to go rather than leaving it up to me.  I mean I don't want it to be linear, but I need more convincing with some kind of poetic, epic dialogue.

I've listened to every part of the dialogue in the game.  And I can tell you that Lothering will leave you lost if you base your decision of where to go on your companions advice alone.

The fact that I have to think for myself as made the game unimmersive.

It feels like a "game" now and I hate it.  I prefer:  a movie that i'm involved in.
