And yeah.. boinking him in the origin would be truly good DLC kk thx
But if you dumped him for Alistair or Zevran, wouldn't he just go that much crazier? (If you dumped him for Lel, he might like that too much and watch BOTH of you bathe.)

I like the way you think. IRL, that SOB would have a restraining order slapped on him so fast, his head would spin. And I'd buy a gun. Also, I love the comparison to the sparkly Cullen someone made earlier. ROTFLMAO
In game... well.... it's fun to torture the tortured.
And like I said, those vows? CHALLENGE!
Again, just like Alistair, it's the voice. You can't just give someone a voice like that and then walk away. It's...well, it's cruel, but apparently I'm into that sort of thing.
You're tortured? Over ME? Well...let's see what we can do with...I mean...about that.
I prefer to BE the restraining order. And I already am an excellent shot. Cullen just needs a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a slightly suggestive hug.

As a male who possessed his level of creepiness at one point in life, I agree to that he would want to watch both of them.
He would try to kill Zev and Ali for seducing his flower.

So...murder good...fascination with personal and amusing wonkiness bad? I will never understand.
I think the difference between the murder in the game and the fascination with Cullen is, no one is trying to romanticize murder. The good characters feel bad about killing. It's a story with conflict and the conflict involves people dying.
But the Cullen fangirl is romantisizing his creepiness. If people were fangirling over death I would find it simularly unappealing.

Zevran - enjoys killing
Leliana admits she enjoys killing if you harden her.
Morrigan doesn't care about killing one way or the other.
Alistair doesn't like it, I'll give you that.

In that case, he's welcome to the knife to the knife in his back from Zev. And possibly a little off the top from Alistair. Me, I'd just shatter him.
But yes, it's the voice, every time. First time I ever talked to my husband, it was over the phone. (I met him online.) His voice made me want to meet him IRL. I just got rid of a boss who's voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard, it was so nasally.

Is this discussion about Cullen? Ahh, I would have liked to have gutted that guy. Oh, can't trust the mages because they might be abominations? Well, how do we know you're not controlled by a demon. That would explain your bloodlust. Better safe than sorry, pal.
Yeah, you think he'd have worked out that bit himself wouldn't he? Poor Cullen. I mean mouse. I mean Cullen.

Well, no one said he was smart. Unless it's in his taste in women.
Kidding aside, I don't really require another man to heal in game. Alistair and Zevran are handful enough. And they're prettier.

I said, good characters.
Leliana feels guilt over enjoying killing. It's something you talk about if you are good buddies.
Alistair is my favorite NPC, I'm sure you'll be surprized.

Well I'll give you Zev, but Ali is a big baby...I'm not into The Whine and Cheese boy. Zev is pretty, and he's my fave romance, but Cullen is just so...innocent...pious...rawr...I want to do all kinds of naughty things to him.
And not just me either =P
Pious? Innocent? What do you think he does after watching you bathe?

Well, here's a point of departure. My good guys don't feel bad about killin folks what need killin. My bad guys just sorta have a Dexterlike fascination with arterial spray. My neutral guys just want to do what needs to be done to reach a goal.
I would say if that's not romanticized, it's certainly a game staple. Kill people and take their stuff. I don't think it's romanticized so much as just an accepted game paradigm. I'm capable of independently romanticizing it, abhoring it or tolerating it as a means to an end. But a game that provides no incentive to gain better ways to kill doesn't do very well. If that isn't some form of romance, not sure what definition we're operating on. "Come this way...and you can decapitate...just think about it...de-ca-pi-tate. You know you want to..." Perhaps not romance. Maybe seduction.
He's just not creepy to me in the least. And he's not as fascinating as I'm jokingly making him out to be either, but I think he's a compelling character for the way he's constructed. As a mage, I'm certainly aware I can melt his face off at any given moment, and being in a blood mage jailhouse only proves he has some strength of character. I'd be less interested in figuring out what made Cullen tick if he weren't still standing. In the end I'm sympathetic.
Okay, sure, folks think it's just crazy that makes him tick. But crazy can produce some fun dialogue options.
