He's just not creepy to me in the least. And he's not as fascinating as I'm jokingly making him out to be either, but I think he's a compelling character for the way he's constructed. As a mage, I'm certainly aware I can melt his face off at any given moment, and being in a blood mage jailhouse only proves he has some strength of character. I'd be less interested in figuring out what made Cullen tick if he weren't still standing. In the end I'm sympathetic.
Okay, sure, folks think it's just crazy that makes him tick. But crazy can produce some fun dialogue options.
Lusting after EDWARD Cullen is romanticizing creepiness. Wanting to know more about Cullen the Templar is not. I didn't get the impression he's all that broken after the mage tower if you handled your conversation right as a fem mage. The first time, I handled it perhaps too harshly and he was definitely crazier. If you're sympathetic to him in his prison, all he tells you later is he wanted to go fight.
