He's just not creepy to me in the least.  And he's not as fascinating as I'm jokingly making him out to be either, but I think he's a compelling character for the way he's constructed.  As a mage, I'm certainly aware I can melt his face off at any given moment, and being in a blood mage jailhouse only proves he has some strength of character.  I'd be less interested in figuring out what made Cullen tick if he weren't still standing.  In the end I'm sympathetic.

Okay, sure, folks think it's just crazy that makes him tick.  But crazy can produce some fun dialogue options.

Lusting after EDWARD Cullen is romanticizing creepiness.  Wanting to know more about Cullen the Templar is not.   I didn't get the impression he's all that broken after the mage tower if you handled your conversation right as a fem mage.  The first time, I handled it perhaps too harshly and he was definitely crazier.  If you're sympathetic to him in his prison, all he tells you later is he wanted to go fight.

I'm not saying he's not an interesting character. I've actually been writing about his character over the last few weeks or so. I'm saying he's not a ROMANTIC character. He's depraved.

In all honestly, I'm not actually interested in DLC where I get to "romance" Cullen (I'll leave that for redemption style fanfic!) but, I AM interested in getting some more background/closure on him. His initial introduction was awkward, but kind of sweet. Then he goes crazy in a torture cage. Then he just seems broken. And then he goes maniacal in the epilogue again. I would like something happening in between all of that. Or hell, even a chance to recruit him like you can Loghain. I think that there is a lot of potential there, and it would be an EXCELLENT way to get a better grip on Templars, as what we get from Alistair isn't quite representative.

Well, Taleroth, if you're ugly and crazy, that can be worked with (Quasimodo, Beast, etc.) but insensitive and crazy cannot.

It's not about "not having a problem" really.  It's about wanting to have that conversation.  THEN decide what to do.

It's much more interesting than "how's the weather been."

You don't know.  Maybe there are clipping fairies in this world.  They could be powerful allies.

I only played my female mage up to the joining. I remember the Cullen chat was only very minor. Did I miss a second change to talk to him before leaving the tower? Also, anyone have a youtube of the conversation when see him again in the tower?
