Games that are popular that you absolutely hate

For me it would have to be the Force Unleashed series. The gameplay is mildly entertaining, but I just couldn't get past the fact that the writers were basically dropping trou and taking a massive dump on established canon, and the characters of the original trilogy. That, and Starkiller is the most ridiculously overpowered Mary Sue in the entire history of gaming.

I love CoD games, but I absolutely hate Treyarch's garbage like CoD 3, CoD World at War, and CoD Black Ops.

Saints Row The Third.
Gears of War 3.
Fallout 3.
Mass Effect 3?
I don't hate these games really, I just think either the previous games were better or the game is just not as good as everyone says. Except for Fable 3. Awful game.
Oh and the above reminded of Infinity Wards Call of Duty. Aside from 4 I prefer the Treyarch ones.

Dead Space(all of them)-Played it and got bored with it so fast. Some people praise it as the ultimate horror game. All it is, is cheap scares and lots of gore.
Splinter Cell-Worst stealth game I have ever played. As far as modern stealth games are concerned, Metal Gear Solid is still king in my book.
Baldur's Gate 1 & 2- Normally I don't bash D&D or Forgotten Realms games but this was just too primitive and tedious, I didn't even finish it. Even the version of D&D used in it was annoying and frustrating.
Final Fantasy-I didn't really mind Tactics and XII but the rest of the series is just horrible. In particular I am reffering to VII and above. I hated the combat systems, the characters were boring and reptitive. the plot was always so predictable. It's like they never really bothered with important aspects of the game, just how good it looks and how much money they can make on it.

Skyrim, not a bad game, but highly overrated. Plus my sister plays it non-stop, thus hogging the computer.
In your underwear?
On Topic: Any Sports game, Modern CoD, and pretty much ebery jRPG.

I don't hate video games and I do not get my panties in a twist because there are video games released I have no interest in.
Instead you get your panties in a bind over other people criticizing games they didn't like.
Noted.

Fable 3? That game's not popular though. Anyone who's spent more than 5 minutes with the first two games knows that Fable 3 is God-awful, and a perfect example of a game dev blatantly lying to the consumers.
Anyway, I wanna say The Witcher, simply because of how completely overrated it is. Best RPG ever? Pshhh, not even close.

<shrug> I've seen a decent amount of people like it.
And I agree with the Witcher 2. It's a good game just overhyped to me.

Dragon Age 2. While not very popular, it sold better than it should have.
Now that was a horrible game.

When I was a kid, I skipped the cutscenes in Metal Gear. If you play it as just a game, and don't pay attention to the story, it's sooooooo fun. Especially MGS4. All the mechanics are solid.
I watch the cutscenes now, but yeah, I can see how the game might've been boring for you if you didn't want to watch 4 hour cutcenes.

I don't hate it, but I don't get the Hype Behind Minecraft, I played it on PC and Xbox and it was just a Game about building Square houses with Squares and little Square monsters come out and kill you, but not with squares....Seriously someone explain to me why this game has gotten the Reputation it's gotten
I love Minecraft for the same reason I love playing with Lego's, it allows me to very easily explore my creativity.

Metal Gear Solid 4. Thanks for making me hate what I used to love. This game is not a game its a movie dressed up as a game and I feel stupider for wasting my time with it.
Also to those hating on Minecraft. The point is to make your own fun and get creative. I can't do it myself but I can see the appeal.
