Dead Space (pure garbage, neurologically special choice of camera angles, and there are episodes of Dora the Explorer with a scarier, more gritty atmosphere)

Kingdoms of Amalur (I swear if they made enemy combatants play this game in jail there would be international uproar at such abuse)

I hate to say this but... Mass Effect 1. As a concept, signs were ominous before it came out that it was a death-knell for BioWare RPGs - a turn towards different priorities and stuff, consolization and a departure from the RPG heritage and in the long run... you know it's kind of worked out that way. Even as an experience in itself (always willing to give things a chance anyway :-) ), it had wonderful music, graphics, story etc, but you kind of had to dig through lots of not-very-fun-stuff waiting to have fun, then it ended.

ME2 was better, it stopped pretending to be an RPG and "came out" as an interactive movie slideshow with action game segments.

Black & White - buggy, unfinished, boring and more simplistic than anyone could possibly have imagined from the pre-release hype.

Weird, considering it was a Molyneux game. B)

I honeslty don't hate games. I loathe the fan bases though, the BSN fan base not so much..

There are games that I roll my eyes over, like Halo or CoD, but at least I respect them and don't go around like a hater everytime I see something about it. A lot of people like them and I don't, that doesn't mean I must hate and insult and all that.

And that's it.

I used to be able to enjoy COD but now I can't..

Never was a fan of sports games..

and Halo seems to be increasingly unexceptional.

People saying COD is the worst game, is like people saying Sean Connery is the best Bond. I think you're just repeating what you heard someone else say.

Bronson was the best Bond!

He's the pretiest, but Craig is the best Bond.

Agreed! Craig is so far the only Bond that actually has a personality and shows emotion.

Heh, I always think he looks like a bouncer.

Bond in the books is so much better though, and in some ways Craig is a little more like (how I imagine) him when he plays violence.

Incredible...then again this just says Gears of War, I'd hate that game too if I played it now.

I wouldn't say I hate these games, I would use the word dislike.

- Just about any shooter game (or rather, I should say MPS's).for 4 reasons; 1) The games are short. I feel like you don't get your $60 worth just running through a short main missions/story, and the only other way you can get your $60 worth is if you absolutely play online. 2) Playing online against people and shooting them over and over and over again becomes boring and tedius to me. 3) The only way you can gain an advantage over everyone else is if you play online for hours and earn points so you can get better weapons.Or camp the sh!t out of a spot.Or exploit a glitch.Or buy points to buy weapons.Seems like people don't want to play fair. It's all about the prestige! HNNGGH! 4) Having to deal with annoying people whose only vocabulary consists of expletives that, when combined with their loud yelling, makes them hard to understand.Sure, I could mute them but I shouldn't have to.
This list includes:
CoD games
Halo series (I liked 1&2 but I couldn't get into 3.I never played Reach)
Gears of War - I didn't finish it, nor did I play any of the other 4 games in the series.I thought the story was interesting but there are 2 things that get on my nerves; 1) The camera jumps up and down when you run and it zooms in. 2) The over-use of 100 different shades of gray and washed out colors on the character design and environments.Bleh.I think they drove the point into the ground of "Oh it's an invasion, apocalypse, end of the world theme, so let's make everything look bland!" <_<

Games that you have to be hopped up on cocaine and caffeine to play:
Devil May Cry series
God Of War series
Ninja Gaiden series
Capcom versus series

My opinions on these games:

Assassin's Creed: Revelations
- While Ezio is awesome, this game just didn't interest me.It felt like a rehash.Brotherhood was good though.
Kingdom Hearts - I guess you really have to like Final Fantasy AND Disney. I just think that those two should not be combined.
Borderlands - (I say Fallout 3) and (my fiance' says) Diabolo II combined.I don't know which aspect of Diabolo II he's referring to (And I can't remember because I haven't played it in years). It's a rip-off/knock-off.
The Witcher 2 - I couldn't finish this game because the controls (and navigation) are, what's the word? Choppy? Clunky? Same way with the menu's and inventory system. You have to go into your menu and gulp down a potion BEFORE you fight.
Metal Gear games - Okay. I can get the whole genetically engineered soldier thing.I ain't hating on Solid. But when you start to bring in some old dude that can turn into foliage, vampires and guys with mech armor, it goes into "LOLwut?" territory. MGS was decent though.
Fable 3 - It was decent but not as good as 2.The story was not that good.
The Darkness - As much as I wanted to like this game,I just couldn't get into it.It was a little too repetitive.
GTA:San Andreas - The draw distance got on my nerves.

Sean Connery is analogous to George Washington in terms of the Bond franchise. His performances were the foundation of the movie franchise. If he did crappy overall, Craig, Moore, etc.. never would've had a chance.

Another one I didn't like much was Red Dead Redemption - nothing wrong with the game itself, I just don't like the Western theme and setting much. I also agree with xkg about post-apocalyptic settings - it's just not my thing, and it's also overdone tbh.

Bayonetta turned out to be boring too, I couldn't play more than an hour. If a game doesn't captivate me the first 10 min of actual gameplay then I generally won't bother with it.

Assassins Creed. What the hell is fun about that game? All the assassinations are the same; stab him in the back, run to a roof, fall into a pile of hay and the retarded guards do nothing.

That was one of the main complaints regarding the game, and was fixed significantly in the sequel(s). I was more interested in the original for a couple of reasons. The platforming was far more realistic than the artificially added poles and whatnot seen in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. You could grapple on a genuine window pane or whatnot. The story certainly has a unique flavor. I eventually stopped playing the series after the 2nd, but I really dug the first.

*this.
As someone who loves the AC series the first game is terrible and its better to forget about it and move on to later titles where things have improved significantly.
For me its the open world aspect that I enjoy.  I just love playing parkour and jumping around rooftops.

Any army based shooter. Can't stand them, never could.

Skyrim also totters near the edge.

Comic book movies prove you wrong. So many were disasters, and they still get remade over and over again. The same would've happened if Sean Connery's Bond films tanked. Still, it doesn't change the fact that the man only seems comfortable in the role since they focused most heavily on him swooning women and poorly choreographed fight scenes, which are things he already was. So it was no feat of acting of filming. People simply say he's the best out of nostolgia or being caught in the trap of repeating what others around them have said.

The Living Daylights was the first Bond movie to give James some character, and Casino Royale has been the best crafted film in the entire series. I mean from script writing, to cinematography, to acting. It's simply the best crafted film in the series, and no amount of poorly shot roughhousing on a train can make From Russia With Love compare. That's not because a test of time. The Spy Who Came In From The Cold is miles beyond Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and has the added benefit of being 50 years older.

World of Warcraft: Tried it once, never understood why people love that game so much.

It's mostly about certain aspects of fun factor - I can be an obsessive explorer in game, and the game was quite expansive; It was also my first MMO, so the whole gaming + social aspect was the equivalent of gamer heroin. I spent oodles of time going through glitchy stuff trying to find upcoming instances like Hyjal, Caverns of Time, etc(Back in vanilla, anyhow). I tried the game again around WotLK and lost interest after the new month was up. I tried a tank class and absolutely hated it. Playing Whack-A-Mole with healing would've been better like I used to in the raid guilds. Oh well. Finally, it had some of the best dungeons I've ever played. I've probably done Scholomance about 50+ times, same with UBRS and the other ones we used to grind in during Vanilla. I loved the idea of this Home for Apprentices of the Dark Arts.

Battlefield 3 is pretty terrible in my eyes. It just feels like a modded version of BFBC2 with jets. Wasn't worth 60$ considering what little it added and how much it took away.

I've never understood people's fondness of games such as God of War, Devil May Cry, GTA and Saints Row either.

It's a form of catharsis as an unstoppable killing machine. It gave me the same feeling I had with the original "The Darkness" Game. It also has serious visuals, great camerawork(particularly the 3rd), and the expert modes can be blisteringly difficult near the end. God of War 2 & 3 especially have 10-minute fights that feel nigh-impossible on Titan/Chaos Mode. I eventually got the 3rd one in the labyrinth, but the 2nd one drove me nuts.

Casino Royale had years and millions to make. Many of Connery's films were literally annual releases, and none of that fancy CGI existed in the 1960s. Had to do very much with very little in time, money, and resources. Excluding, of course, the actual basis of Fleming's novels.
