So this is an idea that i've been playing around with that sounds awesom that Bioware should consider eventually, somewhere in their games, be it main gameplay or if they go through with a multiplayer.
Yeah I know griffons are suppose to be extinct but hey, it's a realm of gameplay fantasy where the vanished dragons still show up.
Not quite sure about the mechanics yet, it would be cool for the player to be able to attack along with the griffon.
For a mage: limited magical attacks specified to the griffon, but without the ability to heal the griffon or the character to make it more of a strategy scenario.
For a rouge: player attacks with throwing daggers or knives and or bow with limited stealth abilties, shooting feathers from the griffon that cause medium damage.
For a warrior: sweep attacks with a greatsword or a shield bashing boomerang along with a griffon mauling ability and winged force power that pushes enemies away.
MGC would be a activated mode limited to a specific amount of time, so as to not give an "superhuman" effect to the player, along with a cooldown period of 300 secs.
That's some quick ideas, nothing special but a start.
Mounted Griffon Combat or MGC for DA3

I support it just for the rage factor alone.

I would love to see how mounted combat would work with hotbar gameplay. That seems like it would be very unresponsive.

Just throw it on rails since it should be nothing more then a mini game.

Aww why not, even if its just thrown in for one part of the game as a quest would it not be cool to ride a majestic griffon.

Dragon Age Wiki says...
Corff the Bartender is apparently working on a novel involving something called "Speed Griffons"

I don't think their should be full on combat with Grifftons but i do think it would be intersting if you can find some (thus saving the race) and give an baby one to merill!

Griffons would be nice if they weren't just thrown into the story, they have been extinct for a while after all. It'd also be disappointing and a bit strange if we aren't Wardens and are still able to ride them.

Just imagine how bad this feature would be with the engine Bioware uses for the Dragon Age games XD.
It would probably turn out to be the space missions from SWTOR, zzzzzzzzzzz.

I have a hard time imagining combat while riding a griffon. I'm fine with griffons even if it's just a
cut-scene.
cut-scene.

Griffons have been extinct according to the story in DA therefore, you can just bring them back like that. they have been centre around the Wardens as their theme. you can just let anyone ride them it will look out of place and ruin the whole Wardens back stories that the game have. So please NO to your request.

I'd kinda prefer they work on fixing some of the other more glaring porblems from DA2 instead of working on this. But after that sure, why not. Go griffons.
