About the same but the rules governing them are different.
Maybe go look in the strategy, tactics, and builds subsections for the forums for some help.
Pause more during combat.
If all else fails turn the dificulty level down.

Origins is challenging, even on normal. However; it becomes much less so as you progress. If you are having too
much trouble, winding the difficulty back to easy is the best solution until you become accustomed to the game. To answer your original question, yes, DAII is easier.

It's easier up until you start encountering mages. They can one shot your whole party instantly if you are not careful.

Yes, DA2 fights are easier most times.

Try the demo. Honestly I finished a lot of battles by just closing my eyes and hitting the action button until the screaming stopped. I had to, the anime combat was killing me to watch.

They are much faster so it will depend on the reason why you can't handle them.

Yeah for sure. And if you still have problems with the combat in DA2 in normal try casual. It's ridiculously easy. You'll have no problems at all.
