It's an ultra-rare, it's supposed to.

IMO They should stop with the penetration nerf, that was fine with me although I never got to try the Typhoon before (just unlocked it about a minute ago, nearly shat myself)

It's meant for soldiers or classes that don't need to be power dependent but still want to be able to do major damage. Put the typhoon on a destroyer with maxed damage and you're taking out top tier enemies in seconds. Not overpowered but strong enough to compete with Biotic Explosions and Tech Bursts, the soldier class can finally be a big contribution to the team without grenade spamming.

All ultra rare guns should be at least as good at level I as their rare equivalent is at level X. Hence "ultra rare".

Geth Pulse Rifle is so much better. The Typhoon is just a horrid gun. It needs a buff bad.

 I hope they leave it alone. It's still hard choice on my destroyer class sometime's between my typhoon, sabre, and my harrier. Like many have brought up it's super heavy almost the heaviest so it seem's pretty well balanced to me.

Dear god, the nerfers have finally decided to come for the Typhoon, of all guns. Not content with the piranha, they've decied to go after one of the FEW assualt rifles that don't actually suck in ME3. Draw the line here people. Stop these idiots from ruining the last few good guns left in ME3.

Has anyone considered equiping a AP+Stability tempest on a demolisher, and see how little difference it *should* make.

You would sacrificing like, 35 % damage, for not having to spool up the gun. Ultimately, very little has been lost. In fact, you might get a much better gun due to not having to spool up your tempest.

I am a nerfer, but the hate the Typoon is getting makes absolutely no sense. There is no foundation for it. ITs basically the tempest, but popular.

Good thing is none of the power nerfers along with many players know how to use the saber.  Ohhhhh if they ever found out.

i hate you. i've gotten 4 harrier upgrades and 2 javelin upgrades since the dlc came out and still don't have it. WTFX!!!

And who in the nerfer's group wants to nerf the Typhoon? Nobody. They actually proposed buffs to ARs and SMGs.

Jay puts out a good point, I haven't seen an actual established nerfer come out and say that they actually want to nerf the Typhoon. All I have seen is a single parody thread on the matter.
