Some European sites have gotten advanced review copies of the game and
so far the lowest score the game has relieved is an 8.5. The Official
Playstation Magazine in Italy noted the game as “the best open world
game of 2012″ and OXM UK noted it as “Fun in every way”

While i really want to try this game, it is coming out wtih Darksiders 2. So im going to get it later.

But according to good reviews GTA V is getting another strong competition. Rockstar need to work hard this time :)

No offence to the reviews but I don't think now is the time to start saying which game is the best open world of 2012.

What else is open-world that's coming out this year? Not trying to criticize, I'm actually curious.

I wonder how good the PC version is. Looks interesting but I'll wait for a Steam sale next year.

The only two that come to mind are Lego Batman 2 and The Amazing Spiderman, which is barely open world and teeny tiny.

I see. PSM (Italy) just might have a point then.

Big budget games always get stellar reviews these days. Wait instead of rushing out and buy. Check gameplay videos (those that lasts longer than 1 minute).

It's a game that looks interesting, but there's no way you can trust the reviews of any gaming publication that gets an advanced copy.

this game looks promising. The combat seems a bit Arkham city meets Max Payne. Might check it out during holiday sale this year.

I don't take reviews seriously, but this game does look interesting, regardless of it getting 6/10, 10/10, 1/10, etc.

I'm impressed though that they had Georges St-Pierre tweaking the hand to hand combat.

Good news. If they did a good PC port I might buy this.

Clearly Square Enix have purchased these reviews.

Am I doing it right?

Some gameplay footage. The driving looks a bit stiff compared to SR3, and I hope the slowdown while shooting isn't mandatory, but overall it looks impressive and the game features RPG elements, ie; leveling up, improving skills. Pretty excited for this.

Sounds like a fun game. Used to live in Hong Kong, and I'm a huge fan of Johnnie To movies, so it will be fun to explore the environments. But I already have such a huge backlog, I'll probably wait to buy it on sale, maybe during the Steam Xmas sale.

Dat fighting system though. Just paid off my preorder yesterday so now all I have to do is wait. The driving does seem stiffer than SR3 but not as much as GTA IV which I'm happy about.

The gunplay doesn't look anything special but the hand to hand looks pretty sweet. I'm definately interested.

Unless they pull a Max Payne, and reinvent the wheel with gunplay, it's hard to make something new in that area. I am a fan of using the environment along with arkham style group fighting andd GSP's choreography.

The fighting looks good. Only thing that worries me is the bullet time in shooting. Shouldn't that be triggered on command by the player instead of being automatic?
