Oh yeah I agree Dragon Age 2 was a serious Dissapointment compared to Origins it was just Pathetic the everybody being BISexual ruined the Characters and ultimately the Game and not to split Hairs but the Female Romance options in that game where terrible anyway I mean come on a S***** Pirate Wench and a Closet Pervert Blood Mage Elf oh yeah thats some serious Competition for Morrigan and Leliana way to go keep up the great work.
But in all seriousness that game needed Aveline as a Romance Option for Male Hawke I mean really needed it and to this day I still lose all intrest in that game when Aveline gets with that loser Donnic.

I was just posting a hypothetical you know so chill out and by god no way in hell should Bioware pull that Everyone is Bisexual BullS*** again that really was a weak decision that didn't pay off in Dragon Age 2 and honestly as bad as that game seemed I felt that it was a extremely cheap sequal to Origins in every aspect period.
Um. I wasn't upset or anything, I'm actually pretty chill. But your reaction is interesting. You asked us how we felt about a change you obviously wanted for the character. You can't be offended or angry (or defensive, which is actually how you came across) when you get an honest answer. Didn't you realize it was going to be such a hot button issue?
You don't want every character to be bisexual, that's fine - fair enough. I'd rather they weren't either... But we don't live in a perfect world, and sometimes that's the only way we get any LGBT inclusion. (Certain characters only came across as bisexual (or gay) if you were same sex and tried to romance them in DA2, I don't think it was anywhere near as bad as you're making it out to have been, but this is not the forum to go into that, just let me say there were precisely no exclusively LG or T Hawke-companions in DA2.)

I am not gona go into details cause I promised my bsn bro @Beep that I would be careful with my comments and not get myself banned while he is away this week but I dont believe in making all characters bisexuals or pcsexuals or what ever and ESPECIELLLY not Ashley, dont touch her! Dragon age was unreaslistic.... And bad...... BUT I am supporting more Sam and Steve ;-)
Edit: I meant Dragon Age 2 was bad and unrealistic... Origins was good ;-)
Again, sometimes making all (or some) of the LIs bisexual is the only way you can get LGB representation (for now, and I mean no slight here, I think I'm going to drop the T - if we think LGB people are hard done by in games, Ts are treated even worse - they may as well not exist (and Serendipity from DA2 was a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE stereotype laden example of a trans-woman!).)
But your reaction regarding Ashley just highlight how Samancers feel when people suggest she should be bisexual rather than fully lesbian.
(Origins had two bisexual LIs, two straight LIs, and none from any other part of the spectrum if we're talking about Warden LIs. IMHO, just as bad as if they were all bi.)
@BobZilla - At the time, I would have paid cash bucks for Aveline to be available to female Hawkes (and grudgingly accepted her being available to male Hawkes too). She was my favorite female in the game, with Isabela coming a close second. She could be flirted with by both genders, but she was adorably clueless. In some ways, I now think she's fine being unavailable (as that's also a realistic option).

It's good that BW has given us these new characters. They are interesting, well written and a lot of players likes them.
Even if they are new characters and appeared only in the M3, many people have chosen them as LI.
And of course we want more of Steve & Sam in the future DLC.
And please, let Sam leave his post once at least .

I play as femShep, so I'd welcome if Steve talks also about other things than his dead husband which is only thing I'm able to associate with him. Make him less two-dimensional. That's something I like about Garrus and Sam, they both are able to talk about casual and diverse topics.

I doubt it, considering it can be triggered at any point after Mars I think. That and Steve doesn't really seem the type to discuss "personal matters" on the job.

But you could always have some scenes on the Normandy after the mission, like with Liara in Shadow Broker. Or even a short "be careful, I love you" line during the mission if things get heated would be niceCHALET wrote...

On other note, its about dang time there is a male interests for a male Shep. It always irked me that all the options for the men are female (or at least female bodies, since Liara is not really female). Female Shep's have options for male or females but guys either had to go for females or stay single. Since I played the Dragon Age series prior to Mass Effect games, I was even more surprised since my Male warden had Zev as a lover. Then DA 2 came out and again, my guy had a male love interest. So I was really surprised it took this long to have a male option for a male Shep in the series. But hey, Steve was worth the wait, because, lets face it, he really is that dang good

He does say some stuff before Shep dives into the water and afterward something like,"don't ever do that to me again" that is LI related as he said none of it for my Female Shep.
On another note, I friggin love that if you go down to the armory after the relationship is confirmed and he will say something like" How am I suppose to work with you so close (or is it standing right there?)", which is a hoot.
<note> I am so bad at remembering exact lines, so no offense if it isn't exactly right...
