Closemind opinion... it is your opinion, but your opinion is not dogma... It is fun.... It is not fun - for you.

Most people seem to agree with me. It is because you defend low standards and lazy development that you get what you do. Publishers and developers only make filler content because you allow it. If most people would be responsible consumers we wouldn't have any of these issues.

Which "most people" ? Here in thread? Your friends with same mentality? No offense. Do you know the phenomen, when there are more people complaining about something? Well, the reason is, happy people just enjoy the thing and do not care about "complainers", so you cannot see them here. They mostly do not bother to argument others, because for them, it is waste of time.

Also you get something for free. And nobody forces you to play that.... I should not be fun. It should be harder, so it is not for everyone... Same mechanism is used from bronze ->silver->gold.

Wanna better thing? Sent EA your thoughtful sophisticated version of upgrades, which are easy to implement due "free of charge" nature.

The thing that people forget is that the game is limited by consoles. And I honestly find platinum, with a decent team, easier than gold. Why? More bosses, and the bosses are FAR less of a threat than the elites.

This is why i usually dont play platinum (or much gold) because it feels imbalanced. You have to bring certain stuff to do it in an enjoyable way and as gaming (for me at least) is all about enjoying i dont play gold so much with PUGs as they are called here and i leave platinum.

Its just no fun.
And asking for smarter enemies or more interesting difficulty level increasements were asked for since the game is out and we have MP, guys claiming the community didnt ask for it should use the search function a little.

That this is the lazy way... yes of course.
The real question is, was more possible or not.
Because the things the OP asks for needs real money and effort and manpower to accomplish which is unlikely after the game is out.

Or is it this or nothing. Then i still prefer this. Because people have the option to choose to play it (or in my case not to play it usually).

Just my 2 cents.

Yes, i think this is, perhaps, the core of the problems with Mass Effect 3 multiplayer because, while it is brilliant in terms of game design and sadly way better than the singlelayer, it suffers immensly from the EAgreed, in that Grind is put into the head of the game. Yes, if you bring Geth Engineer, Destroyer, Quarian Engi or N7 Engineer and pack them with lvlX Piranhas and Typhoons or GPSes, Platinum is fun. But as soon as you realize that it is the ONLY (a small exaggeration, yet still valid) way to  do it without swearing and getting angry, it becomes a grind.

Why, do you think L4D is so popular? It's not because of gunplay or graphics. It's because in order to enjoy your time with it you just require fun teammates and you personal skill. In Mass Effect 3 those elements can add to the picture but their importance is diminished by equipment. No matter how good your team is, how good you are and how good your coordination is, you won't have as much fun on Platinum with Female Quarian and lvl1 Javelin, as you would Geth Engineer and a Piranha X. You just aren't, even if you hate both GI and Piranha and love Quarians. And you should be able to have fun, regardless of your equipment and it's level.

It's obviously all ment to encourage micro-transactions, certainly not because BioWare can't do better. I think that's what pisses me off so much.

Now I read the title, and skimmed a few posts throughout, and I feel that people keep forgetting that if you want to have fun, you can still play platinum, Not as quickly will you clear the run, but it's doable, just add in kiting, lots and lots of it, depending on team composition.

I have carried wave 7 with a human male (OG badass) adept (level 20, only stronghold package V) with acoltye X. Everyone died within 15 secs of first banshee. Took me maybe 6 mins for one wave, but damn was I having a good time of it, even though I had to use 2 rockets, 1 survival, and 1 medigel), I had to run a circle, while picking off the fresh spawn of trash mobs, while keeping bosses alive for last. And if i didn't mind spending a few more minutes, didn't need to use the rockets.

We lost on wave 9, but because everyone decided that using even 1 rocket on a platinum match is too much to contribute to the team, I don't get why people spam medigel, and then complain that they're stunlocked lol, and do not think of a solution, they just give up.

To date, my current Platinum character usage is:

- All adepts
- All soldiers, except batarian
- All engineers
- All sentinels, except krogan and batarian
- All Infiltrators, except Human
- All Vanguards, except Asari and Drell

95% of the time, even when I am completely messing around, and having fun, I still do better, and contrbute more, than anyone playing a "serious dps class".  Once you learn how to play the game, not just a facet of it, then it's irrelevant what you use, it's just cake, unless you get 3 people who shouldn't be playing silver.

It's not the dps, as much as horrid weapon/mod/skill choices, if 4 people do less than average to average damage, you'll clear it, just slower. Also, some people hate cover, I mean, they would rather go out in a blaze of glory to the first trooper spawn, then take cover behind something.

Average damage output, and average common sense = doable, but sluggish platinum.

Good damage to Insane damage and no common sense = Rambo, John James, without the badass, and imagine a series of movies where he died in the first 3 mins every movie, and somehow was revivied, only to die in the next movie, 3 minutes in.

If I have the skill I want the game to comply to it, and not my equipment. "Doable" is not fun. For example I completed Witcher 2 about 5 times, the last 3 being on Dark. On my final playthrough I got so good at it that I completed the first Act without being hit once (and you can't afford Dark equipment in Act1). That's an example of a fair difficulty. If you are good, you'll do good no matter the circumstances.

I'm happy with silver. Silver is the perfect balance, not too hard, not too easy.

I was getting bored of gold. Now platinum is the new frontier. I'm going to try and get better at it and not just stick to reliable farming scenarios.

There is no variety in Silver. A lot of fun in this game comes from weapons and various equipment and you can't get that from Silver, unless you play 24 hours a day.

This makes no sense...

Silver is the difficulty level where you can attempt any crazy combination and do well...hell, even on gold I'd say there aren't that many classes that absolutely suck...Platinum is the only difficulty level where you have to have a certain loadout/kit.
