Basically Dragon Age has left me hanging.. cause I can't continue after. 9 playthroughs is too much I think.
LOL ld say youve done your part for the Wardens and deserve a break.
Ive got one playthrough under my belt, and about 7 other Wardens from lvls 7-16 wandering the country...not wanting to finish:)

Play both.
Cutting of heads in DAO is just as enjoyable as cutting of Alliance heads in WG. Especially when its your 20th successful defense in a row and they haven't seen VoA in a week.

The only MMO that got me really hooked in last few years was TCoS. If you want more "mature" content you can try AoC. Heck, even LotRO is better game than WoW.

WoW was good originally, I think. It wasn't really until the second Christmas it was out that it really started getting bad (the first Christmas was only a month after release, so it wasn't that big yet). When Christmas came, there was an obvious influx of young players who had gotten it as a present from their parents who thought it was appropriate for an 11 year old. Since then, Blizzard has basically been catering to the 11 year old.Cybercat999 wrote...
WoW is crap for 5 yo. If you like this game you will not be happy with WoW. Its not even alike.

And of course, see if you can find Baldur's Gate I and II plus expansions. Planescape: Torment also, one of the best all time CRPGs I have ever played.

Damn right I do. I'm just in desperate of a Fantasy game that doesn't end until you want it to. Problem with WoW is it never ends even when you want it to.
^this is awesome.
I enjoyed WoW and some of the best closed episodes I had were the Alterac Valley weekends way before the first expansion - one game could go on for 20+ hours. You could leave and go to bed, and come back and get in an it'd be the same game. Although it was looong it would eventually come to an end.
Which brings my to my thoughs on your comment: If there was a concept I'd like to see in MMOs it's that of the "Campaign". It seems standard fare of pen and paper RPGs, so why not MMOs?

And it's not because of the community. During my 7years of RuneScape, I didn't even talk to anyone for the most part..

I like this game.
I am happy with WoW.
I am 23, not 5.
I play in a guild in which almost everyone is 18+.
You should probably stop generalizing.

I guess you know better then. I only started playing it with TBC and ended a bit before WoTLK. It is not bad at the start really, but once you get a grip of the game and get in contact with other players more..... ugh.
Besides it is absolutely nothing like DA:O, WoW has completely different atmosphere and feeling to it.
Actually the MMO that reminds me most of DA:O is AoC - it has its problems and failures but the general atmosphere in the game is very much alike.

So I am generalizing when I say WoW is not only available but tuned for children too? I am generalizing if I say I knew 7 yo playing WoW and finding it smooth and easy? I am generalizing if I say that overall graphics and design in WoW is more appropriate to someone who loves shiny baubles than someone who likes reality?
It is good for you that you are happy with WoW. I can be happy playing with Barbie dolls too, what doesnt change the fact they are made for 5 yo as well.

WoW isn't the most addictive game ever. I've been playing off and on for three years. I pick up when I want to, and leave off whenever I need to. That's the awesome thing about it. It doesn't end unless you want it to, yes(which I guess is what hooks people, people want closure and completion)... but that can be at absolutely any time in the game. The first time I played wow, I played for a month, got to level 20 then didn't play for a 6 months. As long as your goal starting isn't to reach the level cap and get best in slot gear, it shouldn't be such a problem.

Well to be fair classifying anything that isn't a 100% figure is generalization, so yes on all counts I guess.

Nothing new to see.
And btw, if you are going to reply back at me with "HAH, YOU ARE JUST A BIOWARE FANGIRL" Then yes, maybe i might be one. But i speak with the knowledge i have from playing WoW for 5 years. You just can't compare a RPG with a MMO.
The whole WoW vs. <insert game here> is getting old.
But anyways, here is what i think:
WoW is an "open" world, you can interact with other people and even when you are doing the same thing over and over it gives you the feeling that it is different because you are not playing with a party of NPC's. There is storyline, and I like WoW lore, but you can't get into the storyline and manipulate it to your own will as you can do in Dragon Age.
Dragon Age it's a set story, with its begining and end. While in Dragon Age YOU are the story, in WoW you are an observer.
It's a matter of choice, really.
