have you disabled auto connect to EA servers?

I have had this issue before:

to fix it I disabled internet, started up ME3, went to settings and enabled auto connect.
I then exited out of ME3 and then re enabled internet, then I have not had this issue since.

Ok, a friend had this problem and after trying several different fixes, this is the one that seemed to work.

If you cannot access the main menu, disconnecting from the internet may help. This prevents the game from trying to access the EA servers and stops the loop "checking for downloadable content."

1. Delete the latest title update from your hard drive.
2.Start the game, and REFUSE the update notice. This will disconnect you from XBL, interrupting the loop.
3. At the main menu, choose Extras, Options, Online, and make sure the box marked "Auto login to EA (Origin) is ON.
4. Dump to dashboard, log back in to XBL.
5. Boot the game by clicking on the title and releasing the A Button. PRESS AND HOLD THE A BUTTON AS SOON AS THE GAME BEGINS TO BOOT, DO NOT RELEASE UNTIL YOU SEE "PRESS START." This performs a cache dump, forcing the game to load all data from the disc.
6. Re-download the title update as normal.

We tried several different versions of this fix, but deleting the title update and clearing the cache immediately after seemed to be necessary.
