Closer (ish), I really recommend Dragon*Con. Obviously not this year, as it's inconveniently the same weekend as PAX, but for the future. I'm delighted David Gaider is coming along this year from the dev side - there are usually one or two BioWare VAs there due to the sheer number of actors attending. But just as importantly, there is a large contingent of fans, many who turn up in amazing costumes. I hung out with the Dragon Age costume group last year, and I can't wait to see them again this year and hopefully meet more of the Mass Effect group.
As for what I'd like to see at cons - depends on the event. Events like PAX, Comic Con or similar are presumably more likely to see big announcements of new content, whereas for Dragon*Con or similar, I'd like to see discussion panels/Q and As (devs and/or VAs), meet and greets, signings, maybe something like a costume or trivia contest ... I'm not too keen on exclusive swag as it feels bit like a punishment for people who aren't able to travel to whichever event it is (I would have loved to buy a bronze Normandy!), but handing out some swag in general for costume/trivia/whatever contest winners sounds like fun.
Oh, and YES! A party! Man, I was thinking about how awesome a BioWare party at D*C (which is all about the parties) would be.

We love attending live events and meeting with fans. Which events or conventions do you think we
should be attending? And what type of presence is most important to you
(playable demo, immersive booth experience, parties, exclusive swag, panels,
developer meet/greet, etc)?
--
For context, some events we've attended this year and scope include PAX East (BioWare Base) and SDCC (Multiplayer Lounge & Purgatory Bar). I'll also be at Geek Girl Con, Gamescom, and PAX Prime in August! Who knows where we'll go after that.
We're intersted in events big and small and what you like about them! Really excited to read what you have to say. As usual, this is a chance to have your voice heard, not to engage in debates. Everyone's opinion is valid here. Feel free to get creative with your thoughts.
I should go.
Why not host your own events? Or have parent company EA throw a big party somewhere?

Dragon*Con for sure. We're so happy to have David Gaider there this year. I'd love to meet some more developers, creators, and voice actors, and I'm sure many of my friends would as well.
Keep up the great work and community-involvement you've demonstrated in the past!
Seconding pretty much all of this.

All of the above. Either in the sense that you do them all -- which would be awesome -- or just do one or a few of the above, as really... it's all the same to me.
STUFF GOES DOWN.

This is the second month in a row where the question is only vaguely and tangentially related to the game. No, I'm not throwing a hissy fit. But it feels like a bit of a bait and switch. If Bioware wants to get serious answers to serious questions then I'm interested in participating and discovering whether there's any likelihood of my wanting to purchase their next game after all. But I'm not going to bother paying much attention if Bioware intends to keep asking (IMO) fluff questions like this each month.
So, is this type of thing all we can expect from these questions of the month or is there going to be anything more substantial being asked?
As for live appearances, well, the only one I could make is PAX Prime. But I still feel like Bioware threw players with my tastes under the bus with DA2, and have continued with a fairly dismissive attitude towards us for much of the time since launch. They seemingly have a very different vision of the future of rpg gaming than I would prefer, so it's hard to be excited enough by the prospect of meeting the people involved to want to bother with plunging into the maelstrom of Seattle I5 traffic.
It's nothing personal and I'm sure you're all nice people; it's just two paths diverging in the darkness I guess.

Totally agree with that - i thing its most popular game event in Russia (heres the link
http://igromir-expo.ru/)
And about what to see - a playable demo and some Q&As would be awesome.

No, I much prefer playable demos and panels. Because they usually contain new information that will then be spread throughout these Internets for me to enjoy. And for others too, I guess.

Please, come to Russia on igromir event
Russian fans adore all Bioware games, especially Dragon Age franchise.
And, of course, we would like to learn more about DA 3
With the best wishes-

I'm not a big fan of swag or 'immersive' booth experiences. I'm also not that interested in demos or news about upcoming games being delivered at cons. It's all just marketing: important but better delivered in other ways.
Panel discussions are the best. I love to hear developers, writers, artists, etc discuss their work. Fans can watch a trailer from home and be excited. How many opportunities do folk have to hear two members of a dev team discuss, say, the disparity between how gender equality is portrayed in the DA codex versus what is seen in the games? Cons are a great opportunity to go beyond "you will get to use a sword - it will be awesome".

Otherwise, I cannot say much about specific conventions since in South Africa we don't really have these things.
HOWEVER I would vote towards an immersive booth exp and a developer meet and greet as opposed to a playable demo, since I would not vote for any option that may lead to aspects of the game feeling rushed i.e. demanding a demo may result in a rush to produce one. If one is carefully grafted from a carefully, well-developed game then I would be heavily in favour of one!
Thank you Bioware for being the amazing company that you guys are. I have faith that DA3 will be amazing and look forward to seeing what you guys have in store
