I downloaded a few mods and placed them in the right area and everything. '~/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/ Packages/Core/Override' and placed them in there. I wen't into the game to check to see if its working, and nothing. I know, though, it is not a .dazip. So, please any advice would be great. Thank you!

Which Mods are you talking about? May be because these Mods are meant for toolset use only.

Its 'Pinappletree's Vibrant Colors, Chargen Package' and a extra hair mod that adds one for elves. Only three mods I got.

Generally you can only have one chargenmorph file. Open both with text edit, copy the lines that the mod adds (it say something to do with the mod usually) paste them in the corresponding part on the other Chargenmorph, then delete the first chargenmorph file from your override folder.
This fixed my problem when I was having trouble with like the fifty chargenmorphs installed on my mac's version.
Also, make sure to only mess with the mod files. Don't screw with the rest.

Like actionhero112 said above, you'll be fine by merging the chargen files.
