I want to give some feedback that is not game altering but hopefully would be easy to address. It’s about 2 sets of incidental music in ME3:
1. Shepard’s cabin radio. In ME2 I spent a ridiculous amount of time messing around with Shepard’s armour. There is MORE armour in ME3 and it looks freaking awesome. But I think one of the big hooks to swapping armour/colours around is the music in Shepard’s cabin: in ME2 it didn’t feel like ‘getting dressed’, it felt like those montages in superhero movies where Batman or whoever was preparing to go out and save the world. This hinged on the dramatic music you could play in Shepard’s cabin in ME2. The cabin music in ME3 isn’t bad - I like the ‘Bad Choices’ song cos it sounds like something Shepard could relate to - but it’s kind of…popcorn. Now when I look over my armour I am not a super soldier preparing for the field. I am in a shopping mall. It hurts the experience. Please could you make some other tracks available in Shepard’s cabin? Either the same ones from ME2 (minus the citadel theme which is used a lot in the new game), or maybe some of the atmospheric music used anywhere else in any of the games?
2. Presidium commons: Having music playing in the background really threw me, and I haven’t gotten used to it yet. I can get lost in Mass Effect hubs because they sound so REAL, and that’s about the environment sounding like it would if you were standing there. The music playing in the Presidium commons snaps me out of the immersion: suddenly it sounds like a high-fantasy top down RPG. Removing the music entirely would be too dramatic; is it possible with a patch to EQ it differently so it sounds like the music is being broadcast within the Commons? You know, a bit tinnier, like an elevator. Or it may gradually get louder/softer as you move through the environment to simulate speakers in the roof. We spend a LOT of time in that area and it’d be great for it to feel more realistic.
That’s it, thank you
