They know what they're doing is wrong. Removing them will be a favour to the playerbase.
Don't try to hide them just because they're your friends. Report them.

Ban them they are cheating and ruining the game for others, the people that play fair could get banned if they just happen to join 4 or 5 games that have 1 of these cheats in so Ban them I like the game I dont like cheats friends or not if they cheat Ban them.

How long has this glitch pestered the game?
2 months?
Bioware has even released another glitchable weapon (the Acolyte)

I blame glitchers and Bioware in the same way
I even received a mail from Bioware for reporting glitchers with thanks
Glitchers abuse
Bioware loses money because of their faults
We honest players are forced to be spies to not be banned, we don't enjoy the game, and we lose our consumables/stuff

We honest players get the short end of the stick, that sucks
At least they could give an n7 pack for every sucesful glitcher we report
That would clean the glitchers out of the game in a week and would finally do honour to honest people

You really want this to be a witch hunt? Tell the town your neighbor is a witch to get their land. Instead, taddle on potential glitchers to get a pack. Wonderful. There will be far more reports than glitchers, I can assure that. I can also see people specifically making accounts to have them glitch, then report that account. No. Just a plain BAD idea.

Unfortunately Bioware already asked us to go witch hunt
Also, Bioware surely checks the log of the matches before banning beause they need actual proofs

And I really want to know why I have to report people when I think that it's Bioware's fault too

Ban them harder.
For example, one of the glitchers I reported yesterday already had his gamerscore reset because of cheating.
The glitchers are mostly always cheaters, moving from game to game ruining the game for the rest of us. Ban them early and ban them often.

Double standards? Ok for friends to cheat but not others? They should all be banned including people who run more than one game with them. The current punishment IMHO isn't harsh enough, either fix the problem or ban the people within 24hrs of receiving a report.

I would say fix over ban.

At this rate they're bound to end up banning a lot of innocent players. You can't go 2 Platinum games without running into a glitcher, or even 2 in one match. It's not fair to the normal players to have to worry about being banned simply by playing the game. And I know they said you won't get banned if you leave the lobby and rejoin another game... But honestly how is it going to look if you happened to have joined 3 glitch user matches in a row? Will they ban you because they think you did it on purpose?

Just say you aren't going to play with them as long as the glitch. Your in danger of being banned by association.

Glitching is bad, mmkay?

Great... banning by association. This is *quickly becoming a witch hunt.

And you don't approve? Whats next, you are going to say that you where against the inquisition ever happening? Sheesh.. Posted Image

Warn them, and remove all their gained achievements from the last 2 months. Or wipe their MP manifest entirely. A ban is too harsh - it's a bug, and I wouldn't assume all players realise that it is considered an exploit - otherwise I wouldn't expect to run into so many people doing it.

There should be no action against players caught up in games with glitchers. You can usually spot them in the lobby (anyone sub N7 level 200 carrying a Striker and nothing else of value in a Platinum lobby is obvious), but they can also drop in mid-game, and you can't control it. Earlier today someone dropped out of our Platinum game on an early wave, and after battling it out for 6 or 7 waves with 3 players, a glitcher dropped in on Wave 10. He could have actually killed the targets with a legitimate qty of missiles, but it looked like he let off more than 5 in the end to me. Am I supposed to quit after 35 mins making it that far, on top of which the 3 legit players could have beat the mission anyway if someone hadn't dropped in to do this at the last minute? The sad truth is there are so many people doing this now, it is impossible for legit players to not get caught in games with these guys, no matter how much we'd rather not.

Banning is fair, don't want to get banned? Don't exploit the game.

IMHO permabans are a little harsh.  Give them a two-week ban if they're caught performing the glitch in a public lobby.  If they do it again then permaban them.

I don't mind glitchers as long as they keep their shenanigans restricted to private lobbies.

If it were a competitive game like Battlefield, Counter-Strike, CoD, etc then a ban would be understandable.  Mass Effect 3, however, is a cooperative game with no PVP interactions and the missile glitch is a rather "tame" glitch that is extremely easy to perform.  As such a temporary ban should be enough of a warning to those who would seek to perform it in public lobbies.

Honestly, if someone wants to glitch in PRIVATE matches, I don't give one ****. That's their business, and it isn't affecting me personally. So what if they get cool equipment faster? It's not PvP. It's co-op.

The moment they bring their unwanted missile glitching **** to a public game that I joined, I'm pissed. Yes, ban those sons of ****es.

This wasn't my most eloquent post ever, but dammit, all this glitching is killing my will to play the game. On Xbox, I only get a legitimate Platinum game once in every ten matchmaking tries. It's ****ing ridiculous.

Same. Half the time I just give up and play with glitchers. I can still run off and kill some stuff on my own, and it's still fun to play the game. At least more so than leaving and rejoining lobbies over and over. :/

Great way to solve this is to Ban them.
Then every week or month take all the credits & gear from the banned players and distribute the full amount between all the fair playing ME3 players.

How about some free packs to PC players who never missile glitched or played with those who did all the way to free creds

I say Bioware bans any reported offenders and then gets off of their lazy asses and codes new content properly. Every single update to the game has had some issue or another; don't you guys have a Quality Assurance or Beta Testing Team at Bioware so we don't have to deal with this crap?

Yea why are some PC players being all high and mighty about this.

It was PC players flooding this board for the first few months with their stories of hacked lobbies

I'd only say this PC > console thing because right now console players are saying every single Plat game ever is full of cheats. Maybe I'm just on at the wrong times, but I've only managed to be in a total of two PC cheat games since I started, and one of those may have been a glitch.

So in my experiance, PC has cheaters that are extremely rare to find, and right now every freaking lobby on consoles are apparently cheater-infested.

My question is why not just disable Platnium on consoles? That'll cut their glitch-payout by like half.

Because why should the entire community be punished for the idiocy of the few? There are legitimate players who would rather enjoy killing things normally without needing to glitch.

Well the entire community seems to be crying "I can't play Platnium because it's full of cheats!" so I'd call the cheaters the majority right now. At least as far as the forum community goes it may as well be every single match.

In the meantime they're just rolling in credits, and if they don't do it enough to get banned... N7 Rank 10 with Typhoon X, lolwut.

IMO, the banning is not harsh enough. You should also have penalties on XBL/PSN as a whole. Do you really think many people who rocket glitch in this game would learn a lesson if they got banned? They will just hope right to the next game and glitch along.

Yes, not you personally. But it DOES affect some personally. For example, imagine if you were one of those people who work their ass off to compete on the leaderboard, and then you suddenly get passed up by hundreds of people who missile glitch? I'm sure you'd care then.

I doubt anyone doesn't know they are exploiting the game. I've played a lot of ME3 MP. I've never accidentally glitched and never even seen a glitcher (I played silver and odd gold rounds so I'm not in the prime seeing glichters demogrpahic) but if you are right and people assume it is ok you should see it across difficulties. The fact that it takes particular effort and that it is concentrated in money making difficulties tells me this is isn't a case of "oh I thought this was a feature not a bug" types.

OP, you should ask yourself what the goal of your friends is. It's obviously not to beat the game, because cheating means you haven't. So it must be for the credits to unlock weapons or characters. And that's where the unfair advantage lies: they get credits they haven't earned (and thus weapons/characters). Also, because they obviously can't play harder difficulties without cheating, it means they haven't learned to play well, which in turn makes them a liability should they decide to join a non-cheating game... So sorry, but I say ban them.

its fair if the glitcher did it on purpose and kept doing it after the 1st game, harsh if a person  gets banned for  accidentally doing the missile glitch
