Great Guide man. Im thinking about using this tonight. Im a little weary about going with rank 3 on Phase Disruptor. Seams it could really use the boosts from what Ive heard ingame. Although I heard that the Rank 5 evolution to reduce 25% from shield reduction only actually reduces like 12.5% or something. Since it's 25% of 50, not cutting 50 in half. Can someone confirm this? Thank you.Actually last night I played quite a few platinum matches with a Slayer who came in first twice in a row. Above Justicar, Cerbgaurd, and Demolisher. He could also get to objectives pretty fast going through walls. This is exactly why this game (and seemingly the xbox community) gets a bad rap. You are aware people can switch their classes before a game starts right? Have you ever thought of asking them to change? What if the person you instakick is a really good player, and was planning on changing his class? Or would gladly do it if you just asked or gave him a few seconds to realize the team dynamic and switch. Theres been plenty of times I've joined a game with a character I don't actually plan to play in the match. But let's just say you kick this person. Then another joins with a class to your liking. You start the game and it turns out he sucks and is a liability to the team. Bet you'd wish you had more manners and a little more patience to stick with the first guy who was actually good. It's as easy as hitting Y, Up or Down, Right and A. Then wahlah new character. And another thing for other people who are instakickers... N7 number does not = good player. It's not like it gives you more damage or health or something. A guy could have an N7 level of 1000 and only ever played Bronze or Silver. A player could have a N7 number of 20 and be a better player with that one class than anyone on the team. All promoting characters does is give you free respec and add war asset to single player. How does that mean people with low N7 number suck??? It's beyond me...theillusiveman11 wrote...
I kick Slayers on Platinum. On Gold anyone and everyone is welcome to play with me, but with Platinum I don't like to waste my time. Due to the Vanguard glitch, lack of synergy with team, and the fact that I honestly haven't met a Slayer who has contributed to the team; I am ashamed to admit they do get an auto-kick from me. They're actually the only class I will kick on Platinum. That and anyone was has a Striker below X. (Missile glitch is rampant on Xbox LIVE)
Sorry to bring this up on your thread. I just feel like instakickers don't realize it's simply illogical. And somebody needs to explain this to them. Just talk to the person first, it's that simple. If they don't listen then kick... People who know better should really speak out on this in game when you see it. It will create better gameplay for all.
Pretty much agreed. When farming Glacier/platinum, I use Slayer most of the time. Usually scorring at top. Instead of class kick, it is better to check weapons/mods/consumable. Most good people use some because it will ease troubles to others or speed up process at least.
Back to the slayer,I am running usually 6/6/6/6 for melee. ignoring PD totally. Specced for power dmg/weight reduction and using Piranha X with dmg/choke.
