I do agree they ruined her in ME2/3. After all shepard has done, she refuses to drop the fact that you worked with a group who didn't really have a super major roll im ME1 and never actually did anything to her. Lets take Jack for example. She has every reason in the world to hate Cerberus and she doesn't even know shepard... Joins him because she see's the bigger picture. Not to mention all the different Aliens who join you knowing full well that Cerberus is a human centric group. Ashley has less of a reason to hate them then anyone else who joins you... yet she completely abandoned you and still refuses to trust you even as you gun down waves of Cerberus troops in ME3. So I dumped her, and she has the audacity to get angry about it, for Jack.

Now don't bring Garrus, as I'm sure he'll take the shot, but bring Jack, and hope she's the one that takes it, maybe she'll have a "first I stole yer man, and now I stole yer life" line.john v rambo wrote...
Racist? No. But she does get a bit jealous of Liara during some of the crew meeting scenes during ME1 which I found amusing.

So she's just pissed at aliens, she doesn't hate them for being aliens.
Horizon did ****** me off though. I can understand not joining because I was with Cerberus, but there was no need for all that distrust.

First of all Ash isn't racist for the hundredth time.
Second her Cerberus hate is blown way out of proportion
Third they barely gave Ash any content in ME3 besides crap we already knew from ME1.
In short. If you like Ash great. If you hate her I feel ya. Me? I'm indifferent. Don't hate her. Don't love her. She's just there.

Agreed in ME3, she has little to no content. She's kinda like ME2 Garrus. In fact, she's the only one who doesn't say anything important before the last mission.

I actually like Ashley, but that's a bit of a turn-off.

Ashley was the only one who had major problems with Shepard being resurrected under suspicious circumstances by a TERRORIST organization.
Everyone else maybe said a line or two, but one response from Shepard and "Ok, you're the best Shep"
Now, they overplayed it a bit in ME3, but it made up for practically no one having major issues with Cerberus in ME2.

Only she didn't have calibrations, one liners, and general badassry to fall back on like Garrus did

A tool? I don't think that word means what you think it means. It would probably apply to the rest of the party characters who practically worship the ground Shepard walks on.

They made up for it, but at the sake of her character.
The VS should have had a LotSB type DLC if they really wanted wanted to explore this whole suspicion arc.
Cause all it caused for ME3 was for the VS to be sidelinded half the game and to be annoying for the most part when they were on the initial missions. A complete turnoff for anyone new to the series I might add.
Oh and next to no real content when they finally back on the ship. What the hell happened to talking with them between missions? Though thats a more general complaint, hated the whole one liner thing we got.

Totally agree. Since Ash's was more of a hangover and Tali was the happy drunk that started trolling Javik

Oh god that made me lmao.
Also Kaidan actually seems to give a damn that Ashley's dead where Ashley...just never mentions him.

I don't know what happened to her between ME1 and ME3.
In ME1 she was overly aggressive and full of prejudices (ok, not racist, but still she'd ask you to lock up Wrex & Garrus because she didn't like them lounging about in the garage).
Just clearing this up she doesn't suggest locking them up, she suggests not allowing them free access to sensitive systems like weapons, propulsion, and the prototype Stealth system. Mess, fine; CIC, fine; Medical, fine; etc.

Racism is the belief that one race is superior to another.
"Look, if you're fighting a bear, and your only way to survive is to sic your dog at it and run, you'll do it. As much as you love your dog it isn't human. It's not racism, not really. Members of their species will always be more important to them than humans are."
This is a terrible metaphor if you're trying not to make yourself seem racist. Comparing other species to that of a dog doesn't fit the definition of racist?
Ugh, again, humans are the dog in that metaphor. We are the ones the Council will sick on their problems to save their own asses. Turians will not sacrifice themselves for human interests, neither will the Asari or the Salarians, but all of them will use their position as the Council races to sacrifice humans for them. Humans are only allowed to establish colonies in the Skyllian Verge and Attican Traverse, both of which are regions that border the Terminus, they use politics to use humanity as a shield.
The funniest part about people disliking Ash for her "racism" is that all of the games prove her to be absolutely right. That's f***ing hillarious.
I agree the Cerberus stuff in ME3 was over done.
