Not to mention that adorable seven-year-old. By far the most well-developed, gripping character of the trilogy.

Best charcter in the industry  IMO.

You've given yourself away...

Whether he's a troll or not, I mostly agree with OP. While I think the ending is weak, I don't hate it nearly as much as everyone else, and every other part of the game is superior.

have you played the other 2? they are better rpgs in every way imaginable, 1 is as close to a perfect rpg as we will see in our lifetimes, 2 was a decent compromise between shooter and rpg and 3 was a bog standard, bland shooter

Didn't we all come here for the MP, the action sequences and one-liners? I mean ME3 is the best place to start, right?

Mass Effect 3 is undoubtedly the weakest game in the series, one of the primary reasons being horrible the way the setting was handled.

Yeah, same for me. ME2 is obviously superior to ME1, and after the EC I'm giving ME3 a slight edge over ME2.

No. Just no. ME2 is the best in the series for fun and story. ME1 has superior RPGability but lacks fun combat and funny and satisfying interrupts and a SM that is hands down the greatest thing to hit a video game ever in the history of ever.

ME2 is so good I would move to Las Vegas to Marry it.

ME3 is horrible for many reasons most of which is that the creators strangled it in its infancy. Tuchanka really illustrated how good it could have been. But they killed it with everything else that was wrong with it most notably auto dialogue, eavesdropping instead of interaction, fetch quests with no exploration whatsoever, interrupts that do nothing to change the scene in any way whatsoever, a journal system best left unopened to avoid the headache and Femshep getting severely gimped in the romance department.

No OP ME3 is the worst installment in the entire series and IT CLEARLY SHOWS.

Ahhh, I had a dream and this was in it.

ME3 is perfect.

It is the icing on the ME cake. My Shepard at the beginning is honored for having to make a totally irrationally written decision to kill 300k Batarians. But it's good. Everyone realizes the real enemy is on the way and all the fleets have been working or are now working hard in some out of the way places to build up existing technology or to create new stuff in order to fight the reapers. Shepard is needed to get everyone to work together in constructive ways to be able to fight what will be a difficult, but not impossible war. If they try hard enough and do things together they might have a chance.

Shepard found new allies hidden on some other worlds and blah blah blah geth, quarians, genophage, good stuff, and woohoo the reapers headed to destroy the base of all galactic power, the citadel. TIM was mad but came to his senses and put the full weight of Cerberus behind the fight not just for Earth in seeing that it is in humanity's best interest to work with every other race. He too learned from Shepard that they could only win by standing together.

Harbinger was mad and itching for a fight and found the Normandy. Shepard and EDI and some geth decided to attack Harbinger with some (new) portable Javelin missile launchers and they flew out airlocks to try and board Harby. EDI and a geth started hacking Harby and uploaded a virus that lowered the shields of other reapers and Shepard told EDI and the geth to get back to the Normandy and geth ships. Shepard stayed behind to shoot the Javelin missile at Harby's core once the virus had begun to work on other reapers. My Shepard managed to escape but went through some time warps caused by the Jav on the way out and learned the true purpose and origins of the reapers before escaping.

My Shepard in a real Deja Vu moment found herself floating in space and was haunted by her first death at the hands of the collectors, but at the last moment the Normandy came into view and my Shepard heard Joker say, "not this time commander," and she was picked up by the Normandy just before blacking out.

My Shepard woke up just in time to see the tide of battle turn in favor of Shepard's people. The reapers were destroyed and after recovering from her injuries my Shepard helped the galaxy rebuild, decided at long last to have a life and a family and became a living legend. People learned that along the way they'd make mistakes and try to work to put aside differences. There'd be no panacea, but people realized they would finally be able to forge their own path, free of reaper control. Shepard was the most common name given to babies born for many years after the war.

Agreed, OP.

It's funny, I can almost tell I won't agree with a topic on BSN these days because it's been five-starred successfully.

ME1 being "as close to a perfect RPG as we'll see in our lifetimes" when its battle system was a half-assed shooter, its inventory wasn't remotely diverse, and its story ended too quickly seems like a very alien statement to me indeed.

ME2 and ME3 moved closer to shooter "standards", but at least in so doing they made the shooter gameplay much more engrossing, and less likely to be completely and utterly broken by Immunity spam, at that.

ME1 is tremendously overrated by those looking back on it with rose colored glasses. It has its faults, it's still a good game, but it has its faults.

ME2, for me, is still the best in the series... though that's mostly due to all the DLC. Once we hear/get more DLC for 3, I expect that to change.

Other than that, though, I agree with the OP, regardless of whether he's a troll or not.

ME2's DLC really raises the vanilla game's score by a whole point in my eyes, yeah. I hope ME3 gets similar treatment.

Hey someone makes a statement i don´t agree with...

I will call him a troll so i don´t have to argue...and get the statisfaction as if I did.

the hostility on this board is staggering and at times i am really thinking some people never evolved past kindergarden.

ONTOPIC : yes , i agree...ME3 had the best of both worlds and perfected the concept.

Yeah the other thread has no-one saying he's a troll but I did sorta bring it on myself.

To be honest OP, while I agree with what you said, the way you have said things in this thread leads me to believe you are trying to troll.
