No, not to the ground, but nerfing a wpn because one class is awesome with it makes no sense at all.


I honestly don't think the krysae needed a 2nd nerf, I barely saw anyone use it after the 1st nerf. Plus the duration nerf is enough for infiltrators. If you take damage all you get is a 4 second cloak.

The Typhoon nerf is retarded. The goddamn weapon has barely been out a week and most people don't even have it at level I yet. Give it some time before you cornhole it like all the other good guns.

Great, PUGing in gold and platinum, which is all an unlucky person such as myself can do, is now even harder due to executions from bosses AND troopers?

I have. They increase the damage of a couple ARs by about 10 points. Awesome. But where's the increases for the sniper rifles that were damaged during the TC nerf? Where's the buffs for the SMGs that are badly needed while we wait for the ULM fix that's been promised since the first patch? How about before you go calling somebody blind, you take your own advice and read with attention. There are so many things that need buffs right now, go read GodlessPaladin's balance thread. Yet what we're getting is weapon nerfs to the good weapons, buffs to the enemies, etc.


Same day as the tactical cloak nerf:
Javelin Sniper Rifle
- Encumbrance decreased from [3.0-2.4] to [2.7-2.4]

Black Widow Sniper Rifle
- Encumbrance decreased from [2.5-2.0] to [2.3-2.0]

Indra Sniper Rifle
- Encumbrance decreased from [1.25-0.7] to [1.0-0.7]

We probaly will see more buffs, just not now.

SMGs got a new powerful stability mod, try it. Locust deserve some love though, I will give you that..
The ULM fix will come, it's clear from bioware posts that we will see a patch soon

and it's almost 6 buffs for every nerf =)

Any gun that makes the game easier will eventually get nerfed since they lose money for it. BioWare is a business after all, and every businesses goal is to make money.

Those are just the UR sniper rifles, and the Javelin was nerfed far more than it was buffed (fairly certain in one of the first balance changes they dropped its spare ammo capacity to 5.) Couple that with the fact that those buffs were only to help the people that don't have them at higher levels (overall the weight didn't change, just the starting weight) and you get a very small buff. They still need help.

With the SMGs, the stability mod is great and I didn't say it wasn't. But weapons like the Locust need help. Not all SMGs are in need of buffs, the Hurricane for example is perfect where it's at. But weapons like the Locust, the Tempest, etc. Could use a bump.

I wanna make this clear as reading through my previous post (which was made out of frustration, so my point got a bit muddled) I realized it may have given off the wrong vibe. I know they're not nerfing constantly. The problem I have is right now, at the moment, we need buffs. To classes and weapons. They should do the buffs first, then figure out what needs to be nerfed. That way the nerfs don't hit as hard.

I dont see the duration thing as a nerf, Infs now just have to choose what role they want to play, they dont have one cookie cutter build anymore, which is a good thing. And either way theyre still the best chars for objective capping, dmg dealing, burst dmg, surviving, ressing, no other char can match them in these categories, thats why I want to nerf them a bit more. And dont get me wrong, Im not saying this because I hate them, Inf is my 2nd most played char.

Exactly, the Krysae didnt need a 2nd nerf at all, but if you want to break the Inf + Krysae combo, which I guess we can agree, is OP, the logical way to do so is either nerf Inf a bit more or move Krysae to another wpn category or both. But not ruin the wpn for everyone else, that was utterly stupid thing to do. If it werent for those other fixes in this balance round, Id be pissed off.

We'll get 18 buffs.  18 guns will be increased by 1 damage per shot and to compensate the harrier's damage will be reduced by 40%.  Can't have people wanting stuff from the previous DLC.  That would hurt microtransaction scam--er, sales.

Your first paragraph actually supports my argument that the infiltrator doesn't need anymore nerfs. Since there isn't just one cookie cutter build and you have to choose between the roles you play, this makes infiltrators balanced now. But if you were nerf them again, it would pretty much ruin the class.

Thank god I got my hands on the Typhoon before you guys nerfed it. And the Kyrsae. will it even be usable now? That seemed really unnecessary, and I don't even use the damn thing.

Derek, I have to say that since you have stepped in to do these balance updates, I don't think I have been dissatisfied with you yet. Every week you are nailing the proper things to fix, so don't get down if a lot of unskilled infiltrators get mad at you for 'killing' their favorite weapon.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

PS...next week, a PPR buff? pppplease?

They might have not closed the game yet
at times i know things need to be 'reonnect' to the servers

but if that's it in time they will be also 'fixed'

I hope thats it I just know i like how the rockets shoot now. I was tired of getting downed trying to shoot a rocket.

I don't consider the UR weight reductions to be buffs since all they were meant to do was lower the price of entry for using an Ultra-rare at level X they weren't changed at all.  The cooldown that was lost with the TC nerf more than compensates for a small weight reduction.

nah, another 10% dmg nerf or something like that would hardly ruin the class, it would still be the best dmg dealer out there, but at least not by that much
