I'm not sure if it was necessary as I haven't been seeing it a lot lately. But I also play on PC, so it may be different on a console where aiming is harder (making other SR's more difficult to use effectively).

That said, I hate the gun to begin with.

I've never really liked the Krysae and didn't get why people said it was OP. It certainly isn't anymore. Maybe they should buff its melee damage, because a club is all it is good for now.

I honestly never used it since mine was such a low level compared to the rest of my guns so don't really care.

The few times I actually used it made it feel pretty average. Seems the Krysae is Bioware's redheaded stepchild.

Seems like a big nerf bat was swung at it. The reason I am okay with it is because they buffed several AR's last week. I used to use the Krysae for my soldier types only because I hate the AR's that I had. Once the buffs came I have not used the Krysae once.

Now there's NO good sniper rifles with any viability outside of silver. Nice.

The original nerf barely hurt it and the tactical cloak nerf basically made snipers pretty useless. Krysae is now not even worth bothering with, even non sniper classes cant use it now.

It was just made completely useless. I haven't used it myself in a very long time, in fact I've only used my sniping infiltrator once or twice since the BS nerf, but the Krysae fired far too many blanks and hit the swarmers/husks instead of the dangerous enemy you were aiming at far too often to justify such a drastic nerf.

In my opinion, it was a bit over the top. Some of the ajustments would
be justified, but not as powerfull, and not all of them on top of
eachother:

• Huge recoil (doubled) + zoomed recoil (almost doubled)
• slow rate of fire (30% slower)
• less ammo and (13% less)
• less damage (10% less)

Pick 2 see how it works - not all 4 of them straight off the bat.

I havent used it for quite a while. I found it to be very unreliable, often fireing blanks and not hitting properly. The times it did hit though very much made up for it because of loads of ammo, loads of damage and AOE too.  It has none of this now, so it has effectively gone from Top-Tier to Paperweight.

If i ever had plans of using it again, those are now scrapped. What whould be nice though, would be to undo the TC nerf - or at least some of it, as SR's are becoming the new AR's.

It's excessive, but a nerf makes some sense considering that it was arguably more powerful than the Ultra-Rare snipers. It does seem like too much all at once though.

Wait, what? Black Widow and Valiant are still great, unless they've both had major nerfs since last time I used them. Indra is pretty good as well.

Edit: Also Viper is alright for casters.

Yup. Thankfully other weapons and loaduts have replaced it for Speed Running, especially on Platinum. Let's just hope they stay viable longer than the Krysae.

The couple of times on a non-infiltrator....it was "meh" and the couple of time I tried using it on an Infiltrator - I was kicked...so I stopped. I am curious if the people that use it will continue to do so....and how much difference the nerfs make.

Played with it a few times didn't like it. Makes things too easy. I like the challenge that comes from using a real sniper rifle and not a mini missile launcher. I will stick with my Valiant and Black Widow.
