Seems like all it needed was the RoF nerf in my opinion. Looks like they went overboard.

People using Krysae with TC are what ruined TC, (they gave nerfers all the ammunition they needed) so I think it's just fair that Krysae is ruined in return.

Too people who were indifferent to krysae, this was really an infiltrator only weapon. If done right all three shots can be fired in a row with the tactical cloak boost. Now, I am not sure with the really low firerate and the DPS was decreased by 37%

 no weapon in this game is restricted to one class, they removed the weapon restrictions after mass effect 2.
there's no such thing as an " _______ only weapon"

Still perfectly usable - even on gold (not tried it on platinum since the nerf) - it's just no longer an "I Win" button. It's still best with the GI or SI as a crowd control mook-masher (or phantom slayer)... bosses take longer to kill is all.

This is what you get for not keeping your mouths shut, you complain because it is too usefull to skilled players and then bioware listens and dumbs it down then you complain that it is now useless.

The first round of nerfing was certainly justified, but I think the second round overdid it a bit. What hurts it the most, in my opinion, is the drastic reduction in the rate of fire.

I think the second nerf should have been
no damage reduction
a slight recoil increase (not THAT much)
slight increase of ratio
2 shots per clip (this wuld have been important)
increase reload time
18 ammo max as it was done

this would have been substantial without killing the weapon imho

On PC so I can just use the other snipers anyway, aiming is easy.

If it's really useless now, it's just one more pathetic gun in a sea of pathetic guns. If it's not too bad, I might still use it on phantoms... but from what I've seen of the other grenade launchers, it's probably crap. They should give the whole lot a bigger radius if they're going to be so weak against single enemies.

I liked to use the Krysae when leveling up newly promoted characters. Other than that, I seldom touch it as it requires little skill to use. I much prefer the Saber or Valiant for sniping. The recent nerf has relegated the Krysae to Falcon status i.e. I won't touch it again. Since I don't use it much to begin with, I won't miss it. However, I feel that the nerf hammer has come down a bit too hard this time.

All the nerfs to sniper rifles have relegated them to secondary status. Other than the Krysae, I hardly ever see a sniper rifle in Gold games. BW needs to seriously buff the Black Widow and Javelin to make them more viable on Gold. These are URs, they should be able to do some decent damage. BW needs a damage buff and Javelin should be able to ignore shield-gate. (I'm only talking about URs here. I left out the Indra on purpose as no amount of buffs will make me use it.)

Tested it post-nerf now. It's not entirely useless - on a geth infiltrator in hunter mode - but I doubt I'll ever choose it again for a functional reason. Everything I could do with it, I felt I could have done with something else better.

Well done on another bad weapon I guess.

I can't stand elitism, you see it in many games. The community's been more often kind than judgmental (for people I'm matched with on the PC anyway), and people rarely suck the fun out of the game. (Though maybe it's because a lot of people can't speak =)

I remember the first time I tried the Krysae. I thought things exploding was because I nailed the targets in the head, the zoom function was fun, until I found out it blew away anything it grazed and was incapable of headshots, it made the zoom less useful.
I'd be excited to see that scope used on a "bullet" weapon.

Overall it is still usable. The ROF decrease and weight increase suck. At least some damage can be done using gear and mods, but really the most recent nerf was not required and should be rolled back.

I was good at aiming and getting headshots. Then they gave bosses headshot immunity. Hence, snipers were all punished for good aiming.

Oh and don't forget that they reduced evolution 6 (sniper rifle damage) on TC by 15%.

Snipers moved along to Krysae coz it was the only only sniper rifle that gave decent damage after the boss headshot immunity bs. So don't talk crap to us snipers about not being able to aim. Be mad about Bioware for punishing people who do aim well!


p.s. For the record i'd love for my Valiant III to become useful again on Gold and Platinum. I'll just keep wishing shall i?

Like others have said, the Krysae is effectively a one-shot sniper rifle now--as it should have been in the first place. I like it better now...because I don't feel like I'm cheating by using it.
