So how do I change something like eye spacing within a .mor file using the toolset?  There are just so many numbers in the file I don't know which is which.  I've searched everywhere for a guide to no avail.  I know I can import .mor files to a save but I don't wanna have to start a new game and customize from scratch.  I just wanna make small changes like eye spacing.  Would anyone please help?  Much appreciated.

You're not really going to be able to make finescale structural changes like that because of the way compiled morphs work. If you don't have access to the source MRH then you'll need to recreate it from scratch.
