Um, honest question here...was there a noticable difference between the Paragon and Renegade runs? There was a definate lack of dialogue choice and it didn't seem to be a wild difference between the two.

Don't let the auto-dialogue fool you. There are plenty of renegade choices to make you feel like a dick.

Notable examples:

-Letting Samara die and killing her last daughter.

-Shooting Mordin in the back.

-Betraying Wrex

-Shooting the VS during the Cerberus attack on the Citadel.

etc

This.

First time in the Mass Effect series that I actually felt evil playing as full renegade. Watching Samara die and killing her daughter, that made me want to shower. And the scene where I had to kill Wrex was a lot more epic than I had initially expected it to be.

 I couldn't do any of those on my worst day...well, maybe the VS, but none of the others. But well, does it make an actual difference in the "ending" of the game? Sorry, probably should have been more specific when I asked the original question. You can pretty much tell you've been too much of a dick in ME2 because everyone basically can, and does, die. There's not that much coherence in ME3.

Once. Did a replay of the final mission for EC. I can't play the whole thing again. Its just too boring.
For reference ME1 has about 20+ playthroughs, ME2 has about 17+ and DA:O has 10+. I can put up with tedious, but ME3 just has nothing I want to keep playing for.

@ Mnomaha,

no. hardly. The only real diferences (from what I remember, haven't played SP in so long) is

1. The Choice between Wrex / Wreav.
  • This one choice is worth playing ME3 2nd time. I did Paragon/Renegade and it was nice to see the distinction (and genius of Bioware) on this One part. Bioware did a great job on this.
  • Maleon's Data is a big factor in this. Depending on how you handled this in ME2 - is the major consequence of Eve & Mordin (yes you can save Mordin in ME3) I won't tell you how:o
  • Another one is: How you treated Wrex in ME1 & 2. Did you do family armor sidequest? Did you keep Maleon's data? This will be seen in his conversations. For example: if you treated Wrex like a Cool Cat, Wrex will have some awesome jokes (conversations) with Shepard and the Squad. I remember bringin Garrus and Vega during the Sur'Kesh mission. Wrex and Garrus went to Town on the Salarians. Talking about how they going to eat them (boiled, fry or raw) Salarians LOL!!! also, Wrex will share a history with Shepard to Vega on the Virmire incident, Garrus will jump in this conversation also.
2. the choice on how you handled the Rachni Queen (wheter you saved her or not) doesn't matter. It's pathetic. Bioware replaced her with an Artifical Queen.................................................................................................................................................................

just about everything else is more or less with war assets....
oh there's the tali fate choice........but i could careless about tali........

3 times, and I'm literally right in the middle of ME1 and playing through the series again and am obviously going to end a 4th playthrough of ME3 by the end of it.

So... 3 times, going on 4.

Thanks Seifer.

ME2 will always be my favourite Mass Effect game because of this. The consequences are quite clear for most things. A lot of times, your choices do matter. I'm still pissed off about my ME2 squad being thrown in the dirt and the complete redundancy of ME2. Thanks bioware. :(

So basically, with the exception of Tuchanka and Rannoch, there is NO real difference in the paragon/renegade paths in Miss Effect 3? What a waste of so much potential.

3 times pre EC. One wtf green ending, one wtf red ending to see if it's any better. One to allow Marauder Shields to save Shep from the ending.

I did start on another play through for the extended cut. Then saw the cinematics on youtube and just didn't give enough of a damn to finish it.

Did you try bringing Javik (from Ashes DLC required)?  He has a rather funny comment on Salarian Livers...

Once and then i deleted everything mass effect related on my computer to never be touched again. If I could wind back the clock and never play ME 3 at all I would. It killed the series for me. I could take 2 being not as well written as 1, but the ending in 3, even the 'extended cut' that simply attempts to explain the crap ending just still leaves me sad and a little pissed off that they destroyed the series so badly in the name of art.

6 or 7 and I'm in the next one. To compare, I lost the playcount for ME2 after 22-25 I guess. And I never beaten ME more than 3 times.

ME3 is not a bad game. Not as good as ME2, but I rather keep replaying it than ME1.

Twice.

I just can't bring myself to finish it a third time, it's so dull and the knowledge that every laughably watered down fetch quest for War Assets amounts to nothing gives me no motivation to play through any further.

I played ME1 a total of 16 times, ME2 a total of 12 times - they were some of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had. But ME3? It's just... awful...

Once. Trying to finish my insanity playthrough but there's not much fun so it'll be a while. Contrast that to ME1 and 2 getting 2-3 playthrough immediately following a completion. Really pretty telling considering how much more I liked ME3's combat.

Destroy both times.

Once. I'm a way newer Mass Effect fan, and I'm slow, so I only started a second playthrough of ME1 recently.

I'm debating whether to do ME2 (I might have actually missed some things, so it's possibly worthwhile), but I don't think I'd ever do 3 again. There were only a few moments I could really enjoy, and combat was never the reason I played the ME series, so everything else just puts me in an awful mood.

Just my opinion, but ME2 is a VERY good game. It is my favourite in the series, followed by ME1 of course, because ME3 doesn't really exist for me. I'm hoping it was all a bad joke, we've been trolled, and the real game will be released soon. Image IPB

Once (plus replaying the end for the EC). I've a second playthrough that's making very slow progress although getting towards the end (it's tidying up side missions at the moment before going to Thessia).

Once for both. I 'might' finish it again with my second and third characters, but there really isn't any gameplay in Priority:Earth and I don't especially enjoy the resolution the ending has, so I might just skip the ending on my bonus playthroughs.

Still, it's a really fun game overall.

Once with Paragon Femshep, working on a new one right now with Renegade and different LI. Probably won't watch the ending.

After Anderson dies. Turn the game off. Make sure to turn it off before Hackett says the Crucible isn't firing. Much better end to the game.

I don't get you guys. Why stay here if you hate it so much?

0 times.

I refuse to waste my time with the last part of the story.
I may play through most of the game again some time in the future. But I will never actually finish the game
