Good work BW, rename Infiltrators to Medics and be done with it!

There is something seriously wrong when all the Infiltrators are now turning to shotguns rather than sniper rifles. The Krysae was the only viable sniper rifle when playing Platinum after the previous infiltrator nerf. Now yet again the krysae has been nerfed. There is no point building you infiltrator for sniper use and damage if you play Platinum and are left with the development of being a medic and objective chaser.

Because that was always the point of the class.

If Krysae is the only sniper you use right then you are doing it wrong.

I like the Harrier.

Also, Kroguard is a better medic.

Claymore(shredder and choke) + Shotgun gear + amp if you feel like it - mop the floor, pick up team mates. Have fun.

...Why does everyone forget about the Widow line of rifles? Granted, the enemy shields recharge faster than you can reload, but that's what teamwork's for.

I think I played a game with you a few hours ago Wolfie... Anyways, im sure there are still some good snipers out there still? I tried the Black Widow a few days back on Platinum and did pretty good with it but then I unlocked the N7 Shadow...

Kind of depends actually. I've always thought of infiltrators as toons that would get within the enemies lines and just wreck ****. Kind of like Geth Hunters. From my interpretation of it, a shotgun infiltrator is how it actually should be played.

You have to aim with those guns?

I agree that sniper rifles need a buff across the board, at least.  However, to say that Infiltrators are just medics is silly...  Infiltrators are still killing machines.

I have literally never used a Sniper Rifle on an Infiltrator. Ive only used shotguns or pistols. Something about sneaking up unseen on a group of enemies, then opening fire. A little tough using a scoped weapon when the enemy is 5 feet away.

CQC seems to be the focus Bioware is pushing atm. I don't much mind, since I've been a dedicated CQC player the whole time.

edit for clarity.

It was never the point of the class even from ME1, yes you can use a shotgun, but it strength was the bonus sniper damage and being a heavy hitter, now your right, it is a glorified shotgun class.

I guess you'd be right if enemies couldn't see you while cloaked.

Bioware confirmed it.

Isn't really a case of forgetting them, it's more a case that no matter how powerful the Widow and Black Widow are they still cannot match the DPS of a Claymore wielding Infiltrator.

On Platinum especially why would you opt to use a clearly inferior weapon?

I don't see the problem here. Krysae for wide swathes of damage across multiple targets, Widow/Black Widow/Jav for concentrated damage on a single target.

This is coming from a Krysae zealot who had it on every Infiltrator and am having to promote the class to fix some stuff as we speak. It was OP. Deal w/it etc.

The Krysae is still useful, it just isn't the SR version of the pre-nerf Falcon. The nerf makes perfect sense.

Fair enough. Never used Infiltrator's in ME1 or 2 (Adept baby!!!), but I can see your point. I still think guns like the BW and Valiant make it viable, although their damage output potental is less than a shotgun infi.

Shure if it makes perfect sense if your sense was that you wanted it unusable.
