Good work BW, rename Infiltrators to Medics and be done with it!

OP should apologize for using an Infiltrator with a Krysae and then complaining about it.Wild Wolfie wrote...
The Krysae was the only viable sniper rifle when playing Platinum after the previous infiltrator nerf. Now yet again the krysae has been nerfed.

Just cause they can hear you doesn't mean they're oging to shoot right at you. I don't know any other class that can go straight into a field of guys and come out unscathed 80% of the time.Dachau Joseph wrote...

Awww, can't play a class that enemies can't see?
I guess you'd be right if enemies couldn't see you while cloaked.
Bioware confirmed it.

I agree that sniper rifles need a buff across the board, at least. However, to say that Infiltrators are just medics is silly... Infiltrators are still killing machines.
This. Sniper infiltrators only took around a 14% damage loss when they were nerfed. Not too bad. It's still my go to class, though love for the Shadow is growing in me, too...

I seem to do ok without using a krysae.

Infiltrators are fine now. They used to be OP, capable of more than all the other classes. With the nerfs, they've become what they should be: Just another class contributing to a team in their specific, balanced way.
They can heal, sure, but if I keep up a steady firing rythm with my infiltrators, I can also do just as much damage as the other classes.
I'm happy.

By the way, the Infiltrator is for infiltrating. Some people clearly think they should be used for nothing but sniping, but I say to them: stop living in Mass Effect 1. Seeing as several non-sniper weapons are so effective for the Infiltrator, I'd say Bioware agrees.

Nerfed, you mean because that "buff" came with a ridiculous weight penalty and the spare ammo is a huge issue for anyone who doesn't have it at a high level. The extra damage doesn't help when enemy shields recharge before you can reload and line up a second shot,
You would be better off using a SI with a Widow, or Black Widow.

Actually the most effective infiltrator in Mass Effect was the pistol infiltrator...

GI is really good with the Javelin I use EB and Spare AMMO and it works really well

Cloak while hidden
Enter a new area of the map
Enemies immediately turn and shoot at you with 100% accuracy
Don't even bring up when you're the last player left, as BW flat out confirmed that they will peek past your cloak very frequently to see where you are.

Honestly, why would you make the role so ineffective with mechanics like Shield Gate and then give us guns with an extremely high damage rate that suddenly become useless because they can't do their job of killing things in one shot? If we're going to do that then all Sniper rifles need a firing clip of at least two rounds. Why would you only give us one round if we're not going to kill with it?
Thanks to the way shotguns work against Shield Gate, the reduction to the base stats as well as a reduction to a skill that made the role work better, I feel far more pressured into being a CQB Shotty Infiltrator then a long distance Sniper which is what the class was based around in the first two games.
Hell now I've got forumites telling me to stop being a Sniper since they're so useless now. And don't you lie to me, I asked and that was the answer I got.
I'm still limping along and managing to retain some dignity but the attitude I'm seeing is clearly anti-sniper here. I'm baffled as to why that is honestly. Are people so damn hurt by one weapon that "doesn't take any skill to use" that they feel the need bash the entire Sniper base in retaliation?
Seriously?

GI with a Javelin X is inferior to a SI with a Widow, because the SI can dispatch all enemy types effortlessly (even the shielded ones) but a Phantom will ruin your day as a GI with a Javelin.
Also, should you get overrun and die while cloaked you'll have a 10+ second cooldown on TC when you medigel surrounded by enemies to think about whether or not that extra damage to unshielded enemies is worth it. I use a Javelin GI because I like the Javelin and the GI is my favorite class, but it's not efficient.

Uh, no, some of us hate shotguns and unless they change TC6b from Sniper Damage to all weapons or Sniper & Shotgun it's a fruitless sacrifice of duration. Which means, as the OP mentioned, we'll become medics or objective chasers.
