You find Platinum difficult with Snipers? The difficulty Bioware had to add because people claimed it was too easy made the game harder for you? I'm finding very little to be concerned about - it's called platinum for a reason, and it's not because it's shiny.

I my team has it on farm, just under 17-18mins dieing on wave 10. Running it with the most OP weps Reegers/Piranhas/typhoon/Claymores...sniping is dead in plat, cant kill things fast enough comapred to a shotties or a typhoon.

dont give me the l2p garbage either, i know how to play and i know what im seeing

Not only that, i tried sniping in plat and it was painful...the shield gating started to miff me off, and i found myself waiting for someone to stripping the shields before i could fire so im sitting there for a few secs that i cant DPS.

So as for the sniping style gameplay up in plat its done, go with the shotties as it just melts things down fast

Wow, guys, it's almost like Platinum difficulty did exactly what they said it would do.

When whatever you're doing doesn't work on Gold or Silver, the difficulties the game is actually balanced around, then you have cause to be suspicious. Not until you can show that this is a widespread problem caused by something other than widespread player incompetence do you catually have grounds for complaint.

And some people need stop being emotionally invested in using a specific character to succeed in a game. It's weird. Don't you have actual beliefs or personal accomplishments to invest yourself in? Sure, having something you liked made bad might annoy you for a while, but goddamn, this is starting to become the sort of hysterical reaction you get when you make a personal attack on someone's deep-seated religion or philosophy

I don't get it: "use a shotgun", "I top the scoreboard", "play a different class" and so on...
Krysae is not a SR and I'm happy about this nerf but.....
...It's silly that an infiltrator is way way more effective with a SG or an AR than a SR!!!!

I think it has become a community staple now that, Anything Sarah Knight says of armed forces is complete and utter.

I think my original picture though said the most, i am really not sure if he/she/it is trolling or if she just thinks people will eat up the **** she writes and asks for more.

Stop using Platinum as a goalpost. It is factually retarded by design. It's like takign a game of football/soccer where all players are blindfolded and using that data to recommend changes to the real game.

Interesting to see what has been written since yesterday.

As ShinTheZero wrote, my original post was not directly a Krysae thread and the point I was trying to make that in Platinum, being a sniper Infiltrator is now the least rewarding (from my point of view, that is). I should have elaborated more on my comment that the Krysae was the only viable sniper rifle for platinum before the nerf.
I should have said the only viable crowd control sniper rifle on platinum, and this is what platinum is about. To be honest as most people will agree the Krysae is not really a sniper rifle, but you do get the bonuses for this weapon through the infiltrator development tree. Yes, I agree there are other viable sniper rifles for damage,but you can't bring down enemies quickly enough compared with other classes. I have completed platinum with an array of sniper rifles but always feel that it takes too long to take down a single enemy and you are not giving as much support to the rest of the team as you should. However, I am not an infiltrator elitist, I play an array of classes. My current favorite for platinum is the engineer Demolisher equipped with the Cerberus Harrier. With the supply pylon developed this character does some serious damage. The good old Salarian engineer with his decoy is still viable and fun if I want to be support. I also enjoy playing the adept Fury, mainly because she looks badass! Seriously, I have developed both the dark channel and throw on this character and find them the most fun. Anyway, thanks for the comments ( good and bad) and no doubt the debate will rage on!

If you are complaining about the game's lack of a crowd control sniper rifle that does viable single-target damage, and you see this as a WEAKNESS, I cannot begin to grasp how skewed your sense of balance is.

On certain difficulties the infiltrator is the only one who can get out and do the 1234 activations... Don't expect to be the mad-dog killer in every match at every difficulty, or even in the top two scorers in the match.

i never used snipers too much on infs to begin with  i prefered talent oriented and melee/CQC builds.

I reserve the sniper rifles for other classes

There is no point building you infiltrator for sniper use and damage if you play Platinum and are left with the development of being a medic and objective chaser.

Yet people argue so emphatically about keeping their abilities to be a medic/ objective chaser through cloak use

just saying,
In my experiance even with ED spec'd for max damage I can only fully drain a couple enemies' shields on Gold without consumables. Most still have a bar or two which defeats the purpose of the combo.

I don't know If they cover this in Mother Russia's special forces training, but where I come from impersonating the Armed forces is extremely dishonorable and illegal, you should be ashamed regardless of you'r motives.
