No, what you're doing is making (pretend) money. Victory is getting all the way through extraction without death.
Victory is surviving all the way till the end. Not get to the end then dying.

LOL the whole game is pretend. The only quitter is you in quitting the teams goal to earn credits, you'd rather waste the teams time doing pointless things. Winners win the most credits, so the only loser is you. 

The hell are you even on?  You still get credits after extract, you still get points after extract.

Oh wait, am I arguing with a 10 year old?

Why NOT go for extraction on a PUG?  If you want to speed run or farm, do it in a private game with friends.  I personally don't give a flying frac about the credits.  If you are having fun, the credits will come.  Just like real life.

Not wasting time doesn't mean its a "speed run" why not go for extraction? No credits. The time spend on a useless extraction wave can be used on the next game. You do care about credits, or else you wouldn't be spending them unlocking weapons.

Guess I don't have to worry about ever having to carry your scrub self then.

A "scrub" is an underskilled player who believes they have the skill and ability to play with the big dogs, and acts accordingly.
I.e. they "talk the talk" but do not "walk the walk".

Some people like to finish missions. I think what the non-extractors do is great for them to farm more effeciently.  Makes sense. I just don't understand the parading around that a few non-extractors do. Like it's a thing to do or something. Such rebels.

Hahahahah very true indeed! But who am I to say anything about what they do with glass? What I'm asking about is the 'look at me, I don't extract' thing.

I think the smart thing to do is have fun with the game. For me that's getting through extraction. If that's akin to eating glass, then...well your analogy doesn't make much sense as a comparison but I see what you mean.

Lol yeah it was a stretch, but it was awfully fun having an excuse to type that.  It's analagous ala both are detrimental, inefficiet and should be avoided =)

 I play for fun, and for the challenge, not for the credits. Extracting is a challenge, is what I'm looking for, so I will go for it. I don't understand people that are crazy for credits, like the world will end tomorrow and you will need all your weapons maximized before that happens. No rush. I never get worried about credits, I don't play that much, I have a good manifest =)

Negative ghost rider.  I don't think the world will end tomorrow at all.  And I do sincerely enjoy playing.  I just view extraction the in the same light as those halo players who refuse to flag cap the last flag because they wanna run the timer out and be d&^ks.  I don't mean that as an affront, it's just a waste of time.  

The reason I choose not to is that with work, a wife, and the Steam Summer Sales, I have a backlog of games the size of Mt Everest to get through and it's not looking good =)

I do like using that analogy, but I don't think it's apt. The goal is for the community, having less credits to spend on the store is indeed detrimental, but then again I do enjoy contributing to the community goal. Bodily harm doesn't seem equivalent to not having digital currency to buy digital items...but I guess it's just as painful to some people who are invested enough into the game to want the maximum effeciency.

Serious question, do you normally do private matches to farm? I can't imagine wiping on 10 has much success in PUGs...

Lol wiping on wave 10 has serious success in PuG's.  Have you seen some of the playerbase?   As of last night you still get former rocket glitchers thinking they are plat material.  So you end up carrying them, and then when you wipe what are they going to do about it?

Honest answer: a lot of players expect to be carried.  A lot of good players couldn't solo wave 11 (especially when I wipe at the LZ area and mooks just mosh there), so why would you think wiping would not be successful?


Post Script:  It may not be apt, but there is no arguing extracting is a waste of time credit and consumable wise.  If someone wants to extract be my guess.  I'm not going to rage or be upset.  I'm going to open a pepsi =)

I fail to see how ntrisley is the "scrub" here. You're the one who doesn't want to help the team or the community, you're the one that just wants to quit after he gets all of his money, and you're the person who would go and kill himself when the rest of the team is trying to extract because he doesn't think that it's worth it. Tell me, if the entire rest of the team is trying to extract, and you won't leave until you get your credits, why die? You're still gonig to be sitting there for the three minutes watching them play, so why not stay alive and help them out and give them a chance at a full extraction and actually PLAY the game?

Gee, I'm sorry for not wanting to extract. If they offered a better carrot, I may extract. But the carrot is currently a Bonus exp. card or a LV IV ammo. Which is not good at all.
