But for the sake of the community and the majority of the players (people with maxed out Earth characters are a minority at the moment), would it be so horrible to extract just once? By your own description that's only 5 extra minutes, but if all the people who normally don't bother with extraction did just one extraction each this weekend, that would help a ton for this allied goal.Gockey wrote...

Mate; you get a Rare pack. According to your own manifest you've not unlocked 5 gear packs, and have not one at level 5, so why do you insist on saying you'll get a lvl 4 ammo? Look at my manifest and after that just keep your mouth please.
I do farm Gold or Platinum on a regular base and we all die after the objective done in round 10, but doing it this weekend will get you a lot of (Imo deserved) bad reputation.
Because my manifest was never the point. (Though I do have one at L5 =P). That's another strawman argument. Extraction is still not worth it. If it was a squad goal and only required doing it one match sure. But wasting an hour or more on the extraction waves (assuming 5 minutes per extract with the penalty and 12 matches over the course of the Op at minimum) isn't worth the rare card.
So again *yawn* Everyone that is in my shoues is still better served by stopping at wave 10. :innocent:

Self-interest will guide such folks to at least one (partial/lone/full) extraction for the squad goal. Fear not! As long as the "what's in it for me" aspect has been addressed, right? We just have to trust that these "go-getters" will allow at least one person to carry them to their squad goal as they lay down and die.

To the Wave 10 Wipe Players: I thought we were playing a video game here? If you were quiet then I probably wouldn't have written this, but you weren't so I did.
Once you imply that we (the majority) are in the wrong for playing the game as intended when it's actually you who is wrong, you become the poster child of hypocrisy and deserve to be called out on it. I understand the desire to earn Credits, I really do. Everyone wants a fully unlocked manifest. Regardless, how could you possibly justify your condescending, elitist attitude shown towards the core of the ME3 MP community who play to extract?
We're trying to play as it was intended - working towards a goal as a team in a co-operative manner (redundancy emphasised).
You're playing selfishly and against your team by purposefully dying. Why should your teammates pay for your ineptitude? Your stance is obvious, but the rest of us don't like dying on any Wave. Failing the Mission and losing the satisfaction + extra XP an extraction brings is not the goal, in fact it's the complete opposite.
Based on all of this and your idea of wiping on Wave 10 being "efficient", one can only deduce that:
- What you are doing can easily fall into the category of GRIEFING.
- Griefing is against TOS.
- Going against TOS will get you a punishment or banning from BioWare.
- Rinse, repeat. No more filth!
Bye.

To BioWare: Once again, thank you for doing another weekend operation! I'm stoked as usual, and really appreciate the timer at the top of the forums too.

+1 And to be quite clear: any mission that ends with a little death's head and the words "Mission scrubbed. Returning to base" is losing.

But don't worry, everyone know the people who report everyone they don't like are the most popular.
Oh and out of curiosity, if you're level 20 what are they taking away from you exactly? If you're judging your performance because you don't liek the way someone else is playing the game, I don't think they're the one with a problem.
And... don't you think its a little hypocritical to critisize people for playing the game they want to instead of the way you want them to...?

Meh, not going against the rest of my team if they agree to it, which... since I don't really do PuGs much, they most certainly will. I fail to see how that would be griefing.

I gotta agree with the other poster: Intentionally losing is griefing. But c'mon, how do you prove it? Other than taking down names here and tracking 'em to games.

I mean, it's hardly even fair for newcomers at all, right now. 4+ Bronze matches per SP, very low chance for an Earth character, and a long time to build their manifest levels to a point where Silver is easily accessible.
This will be great.

Squad Goal: Extraction on any difficulty with at least one squad member using an Earth Pack character
Allied Goal: Extract 800,000 individual players on any difficulty, with each live member counting toward the goal.
Special Circumstance: Extraction time lengthened due to failure of Operation BROADSIDE.
Squad Goal Success: All squad members awarded a Commendation Pack.
Allied Goal Success: All players awarded a Victory Pack that includes a new Earth character.
Requirement: Mass Effect: Earth must be installed to earn these rewards.
REMEMBER: Feedback upload MUST be on for us to know if you complete the Squad or Allied goals. If it is not, we will not be able to grant rewards to deserving players. Thanks.
Hey Chris!
I know a realtime progress bar is not possible/too difficult to implement, but how about a half-way-update? Showing us how far we got so far, like on saturday evening, letting us know if we need to work harder, or even if we can relax since we're already over 50% or more.
