If we failed again, then either the community is much smaller than the forum activity suggest, or failed extractions did reduce the amount of successfull extractions. If it's the later, I'd be pissed, as there was no mention of such an important rule.

The DLC is called "Earth." It was pretty clear instruction. For the Commendation Pack, all you needed was to do a mission to extraction with one of the Earth DLC characters in your squad on any difficulty. Why are these operations so confusing to everybody? We needed like 5 posts of clarification this time, rofl.

Well, what they told us last time at the start of the weekend and what we actually had to do were 2 different things. They didn't correct their mistake until the weekend was almost over. People wanting as much clarification as possible is perfectly understandable.

No it isn't, people are just too lazy to read properly. It was very clear from the start what we had to do to get the commondation pack.

I hope we completed Operation Overwatch since it seems it's the only way for me to get a Earth P ack Character. Plenty of training cards for me but it's impossible to get a new character with my luck.

Yeah, that wasn't hard. I Just incorporate the story of SP.

if we failed, it means people who willing to fight with the reapers less than expected in ME Universe.

It means

if we failed twice it means Our Community EMS less than 2000 or just scared or surrender at the hands of the reapers.

If we failed this one, I think it would be safe to say that the player base is shrinking.  

Also I think it is time to start blaming Bioware for failed Operations.  They have an in-game menu that does not show that an event is happening for multi-player.  The casual player or the player that does not use the forums should see a pop-up in the selection menu for multi-player and single player.  How many players run into people with mics that talk about the Operations?

On PS3 this weekend I was waiting 10 minutes or so for Bronze to fill up. I haven't had these issues since N7 rank matchmaking was implement and this is now gone. Very well could be my latency or location though.

A lot of PS3 players don't even know that these events are going on. The 360/PC versions get the notifications before the event start, but PS3 players don't.

I don't remember there being a notification before this one or the last for that matter for the 360, but I could be wrong.

Im on the 360 but I diddnt get the notification this week till the event was mostly done. Only reason I knew about it is because I check the forums

I got one on PC on Friday. Weird. Also, the instructions were crystal clear from the get-go as said above.

Was notified on the PC. As far as I know Bioware / EA still advises everyone of operation as they happen. Maybe a lot of people have moved on...

The operation said nothing about extractions only counting if you did it on the new Earth map and against Reapers. It just said this: Extract 800,000 individual players on any difficulty, with each live member counting toward the goal.

The description of fighting Reaper on Earth is just that, a description. It's there to set the mood, just like every other operation did so far.
