@peddroelmz Hey man, I was wondering when you'd show up with some valuable input on Typhoon & warp ammo mechanics.
So I'm guessing there's 3 different ways you can get maximum stability: 1) stability attachment + stability module 2) stability attachment + barrage V 3) stability module + barrage V.
Obviously these choices open up different options for gear & mod combos and people should suit them to their own game style and preference.
Any opinions on this?

In my opinion a stability mod is necessary for this weapon. The problem is not the upwards recoil which most good shooter players can probably negate with simple mouse movement but this weapon also strays to the left and right side while moving up and just shakes like a washing machine during the heavy spin cycle without any added stability.
That's the precise query I have though. I feel putting extra stability in addition to the mod not only negates recoil, but makes the horizontal spread tighter. It is especially noticeable when you start hipfiring a banshee so I was wondering if that's just me or if anyone else has experienced this? I feel like we need clarification if stability adds a degree of accuracy to the weapon as well because if that's the case, then taking extra stability is definitely worth it.

specter what packs did you grind to get typhoon X? I've been trying to get it for so long with PSPs all this while. And is the extended barrel on Typhoon any good?
I don't know about Sp3c7er but I bought PSP only after the DLC until I had the Particle Rifle and Typhoon both maxed out. Took around 13 million to get both to X (I had a Particle Rifle 1 before the DLC though, so 19 upgrades in total for me in around 130 PSP). But it's still random, you could buy 10 and get 10 UR or buy 1000 and get none. But usually the drop rate is around 10% in PSP so 1 UR for every million spent. In my case a little less this time). After I maxed those I switched to normal SP for the remaining gear.

Just for the sake of curiosity: how many PSP have you bought in order to get Typhoon 10 ? I've bought more than 30 after Earth, but I coudn't even get level 1 :-(

LVL X does 55.5 base damage ... When charged 111 damage ...Has 50% ignore armor ...
Platinum armor DR still 50 ...Without other armor DR effects in place it will lose 50 * (1-0.5) = 25 damage per shot vs Armor DR ..
Comparing damage vs armor performance of Warp ammo III (50% armor weakening, 35% weapon damage) & AP ammo III (70% ignore armor, 30% weapon damage)
Ammo power damage is separate and calculated based of base weapon damage... When charged - vs armor
---------------
Warp ammo
111 * 0.35 = 38.85 damage per shot ...
Weapon damage lost due to armor DR .. (50 * (1-0.5))*(1-0.5) = 12.5
So in total Warp ammo would add 38.85 - 12.5 = 26.35 damage per bullet vs armor ..
---------------
AP ammo
111 * 0.3 = 33.3 damage per shot
Weapon damage lost due to armor DR .. 50 * (1-0.5-0.7) = (-10) 0 it cannot be negative
---------------
So as I suspected the difference of the two ammo types vs armor is minimal (AP ammo III wins vs 50 armor DR with a 33.3 - 26.35 = 6.95 damage per shot - not significant when actual weapon damage is above 200 damage per shot(with consumables))
But Warp Ammo does a bit more damage vs health and a lot more damage vs barriers (AP ammo does nothing vs barriers) ...So with warp ammo you will kill banshees and phantoms fastest ...
================================
About the stability thing - I cannot help you ..I cannot get the earth add-on (origin purchase add-on list always empty), haven't played mass effect in the last months (took quick D3 detour, Civ V G&K and now Endless Space) ...Not familiar with the new consumable types ...;

I use the stability mod for the Typhoon. I feel like this is enough (70%) and usually go with Warfighter Package and either Adrenaline Module or Cyclonic Modulator. In my opinion a stability mod is necessary for this weapon. The problem is not the upwards recoil which most good shooter players can probably negate with simple mouse movement but this weapon also strays to the left and right side while moving up and just shakes like a washing machine during the heavy spin cycle without any added stability. Stability Mod + Extended Magazine do far more for me than using the Extended Barrel for either one of those two mods.
After doing a lot of tests I've come to the same conclusion.
Besides glacier maybe where it's cqb everywhere, it's better to use stability + ex. mag with the typhoon.
The amount of shots you miss because of horizontak recoil makes you lose more dmg than what you'd do with barrel mod.

Well that's normal, people who have it at high level have other weapons maxed out for example I had particle rifle II before the DLC, and everything else maxed, only thing that'll come out would be either PR or the typhoon.
@Korjyan, feels good man, I didn't spend as much and got it to lvl X, thx for sharing

. I needed something that kills phantoms quickly. It was a choice between GPS & Reegar. I picked the one which was less cheap and required more skill to use, in my opinion.

Still other Banshees you killed in single clip, no collateral damage, take 7-8 sec on average.Sp3c7eR wrote...

Well, yeah, as it isn't ridiculously OP. Still it is OP IMO though - bringing down 2 banshees in 20sec (13:41-14:01) is just insane.
Haha, that was a good moment, yeah. It was only possible due to them being behind each other though, so a number of bullets hit them both.

It does quite a lot yeah, and bear in mind that's not the maximum it can do. If you sacrifice clip capacity & put AR damage gear, your dmg output will go through the roof. However, to me the Typhoon does damage when it's full on auto. And the longer you can keep that up, the better. Therefore, more ammo means more damage, indirectly. Because it's a chargeable gun, after all.
I am curious about your choice of gear.
Doesn't Barrage gear increase the SPARE ammo capacity, not the magzine size? In that sense, it only reduces your trips to ammo box. However, it does not help you keep up the firing rate and DPS.

I take barrage for the stability on Typhoon, mainly.

Lol... When i saw this thread on the first page after around 5 days i thought that someone was complaining to the OP for soloing platinum with the destroyer + typhoon with the typhoon nerf incoming.
The Typhoon was impressive yes.....but I was blown away with the GPS taking down Platinum phantoms in 3 shots.....and it didn't look like they were charged shots. How much damage does the GPS do without charging?

GPS X with extended barrel (which is a no-brainer) :
Charged damage : 1785
Uncharged damage : 803
Though there is some mechanic with the GPS to how much damage each projectile does (u already know there are 3 which shoot at a time).
