How in the world did you manage to have a Typhoon X and Barrage V so soon after they came out? Did you save up eleventy billion credits or something? Or did you spend like $1,000 cash money?

I unlocked Typhoon X with 8 million credits after DLC came out. Guess I was very lucky because at the same time my friends barely had Typhoon 2 or 3 after spending similar amounts.

Barrage V took me about 4 or 5 days to unlock after spending all the cash I had saved up.

And yeah, the recent Typhoon nerf is not a step in the right direction. I did not think Typhoon was OP - it was a niche weapon and it did what it was supposed to with great efficiency. But I couldn't say it excelled in every situation simply because there were other weapons, more rounded or safer to use that are still people's first choice.

why does it seem like he is shooting through cover (including guardians) and there is no AP ammo or mod equipped? Is that just my imagination?

Typhoon has innate AP bonus and will punch through shields. GPS can hit the mailslot with it's plasma balls too if you're lucky. Add the 30% dmg and 20% headshot bonus from Destroyer mode and the damage loss from punching through armor is wiped out. It's like shooting a basic trooper.

If you mean his useof corners, anyone can do that. Get just behind the corner with your crosshairs peeking out and you can shoot through the wall. It's a clipping error that can be used to great effect.

This combo is good on Platinum solos. You can get faster times with Kroguard or GI/SI, but stellar play with the Destroyer. Haven't had him long, and he's not my favorite, but you use him well.

As you guys know from the recent Bioware blog, N7 special forces are deployed at various locations in the galaxy to help fight the Reaper threat. Apparently, Alliance HQ command centre didn't have a full spare squad to send to Tuchanka, where Reapers were sighted working with indoctrinated cerberus agents and Geth heretics. So they sent in an expendable, a lone destroyer.

That being said, Sp3c7eR's platinum solo was the very first I watched, the very first that appears when I google platinum solo and the main reason why to this day Destroyer with Typhoon and GPS is my favorite kit.
