The other problem people forget about the Demolisher is that Homing Grenade and Arc Grenade take from the SAME POOL. When one gets used up, so does the other.

The other thing is that grenades are the Demolisher's main source of damage. That's not selfish.

Try not to demonize Demolishers because you're too lazy to go around the map gathering grenades. They are NOT a tool for you to use.

Pretty much.

LOL

Demolishers need the grenades for their powers.

They're not being "selfish". You are. Grab your own grenades. Instead of stealing theirs.

These guys are a real problem.

Every time I spot one in the lobby, I switch in Krogan soldier for his Inferno grenades to help with tech bursts (If it can, I never notice) and to provide consistent fire damage against the myriad or armoured opponents.

But then, I spot said demolisher set up his/her Pylon and sit RIGHT ON TOP OF IT, soaking up all grenades as it spits them out.

This is pretty sad IMO, to me the Demolisher is a classic support character, and yet he absolutely NEEDS every grenade it throws out?

Anyone else have problems with Selfish Demolishers?

Talk about selfish... Won't use a KS unless there is someone providing you with a steady supply of grenades. How did the rest of the KS users ever survive before the Demolisher showed up? Pffft.

You do realize that two of his three abilities are grenade based, right? So without said grenades, he's basically powerless. Yeah, how selfish of him wanting to be able to continue to support his team by being able to, you know, kill enemies.

You do realize basically every Demolisher carries 2 huge weapons because of said grenade based power spread right?

And imma go out on a limb and say your the precise kind of person im making this post about.

This game isnt 4 guys competing for best score, its 4 guys working together.

And this is why I also bring along my N7 Piranha Shotgun X and my N7 Typhoon II to the party and still sit on top of my supply pylon, because I spec'd it to boost weapon damage when inside it's field.  So, yeah, I'm not all about using grenades, but since the pylon also boosts my weapon damage too, why shouldn't I stand next to it?

Next complaint.

As a demolisher user i can say all i take from my pylon are grenades but i will say it is your fault for not coming to the pylon as i rarely will take every grenade from it.

Also what is two out of the three powers demo has? Grenades so them standing on a pylon for them not really selfish as it allows them to keep pouring out the damage.

Oh, ok, you camp here on your little pylon while I dodge 50 banshees and Atlas' to grab 1 nade from the supply drops.

You're wrong. I really need my grenades full all the time because I'm only carrying a Claymore and a Harrier around with me. Clay+Har+Nades=Godlike damage!!! Seriously though... Back of my nades!

What would you do with those nades that I wouldn't? Oh wait! NOTHING! Unless you come with a new special type of awesome nade, better stay off those nades bro :D

Wow, clearly didnt read my post.

I said on top of the actual pylon, thus grabbing its nades the instant it dispenses them.

Your arrogance astounds me.

It seems silly to harp on the demolisher for using his own skills for best effect. Atleast the pylon will replenish your shields. You have other options besides competing with the demolisher for his pylon drops. Grenade spamming seems a bit out of control anyway.

Considering grenades are all they got, that makes sense. Most demolishers I play with don't even spec for fitness, so they rely heavily on their dps from said grenades just to survive. Maybe OP is the one being selfish here.

DING DING DING!!!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!

seriously dude, you make it sound like your switching to a nade class to help the team, but really your just in it to boost your own score because you saw an opportunity based on what someone else was playing.  Get off your high horse and either walk over to an ammo box, or bring your own demolisher and feel free to set it up just for sharing.

I have a low cooldown to keep spamming pylons.
If I place the Pylon under myself it's because I need nades.
If I place the Pylon out in the open then by all means consider it an offer.

This is how I am most effective.
This is why I am using a Power Damage mod.
You are being selfish by trying to reduce my effectiveness.

I love my new N7 engineer but here is the thing, his main source of power are grenades. Now you can carry two heavy weapons and only get 2 grenades every 15 seconds or you can carry a light or medium weight weapon and get 4 every 15 seconds. I prefer the 4 every 15 seconds so I can throw out more grenades, you are free to stay in my circle and acquire grenades and ammo, hell I might even follow you around and put my pylon next to you so you don't have to go out of your way to find a ammo box if you are a good player or that is the plan for platinum.

Now they are not selfish for staying in the pylons circle, hell its a good idea since you get a damage boost while in it, actually your the one being selfish by not being in it, why should they always follow you around when they don't know you, have not played with you before, and they don't even know how good you are,

Wait until I get the Grenade Capacity upgrade and can carry 10 around with me, I bet you really won't like me sitting on top of my pylon refilling my stockpile while you have to run from box to box picking up one or two.  Whee, more 'nades for me!

I think that the Demolisher player must think about his/her game too. The characters that I would consider giving nades to would be:

Batarian/Krogan Soldier
Destroyer.

As a Demolady, I have access to the most powerful anti-shield grenade, but I find Homing grenade a little bit too slow as an anti-armor weapon, whereas the stackable Infernos do the trick quicker.

Multi-frags are great for massive aoe damage/stagger tool for dealing with regular goons, and Demolisher works beautifully along the Destroyer.

Never had a chance to play with a Drell on the team since the dlc launch. Everyone plays the N7 characters in pugs, the only drell I witnessed was myself. Thinking of it, I rarely see a drelldept other than me in general.

When I play demoslisher I spam grenades (grenade gear+4 grenades every 14 secs or so), doing as much fire explosions as possible and it absolutely demolishes everything. It only is a support class if the player wants it to be. I often find myself outscoring destroyers wielding typhoons with very little effort.

There's a difference between squatting right on top of it and standing in that circle. Any Demolisher that isn't letting a QME or QMI get grenades is, in fact, NOT making the most of the supply pylon.

I'm fine with sharing grenades.

HOWEVER, I have dibs and reserve the right to hog my own grenades if I feel it's the most useful move.

You can snag stuff that's there, but I don't owe you the grenades from the dispenser I drop. The ammo? That's probably not getting picked up by me often, except when I'm chipping at armor with my harrier.

I used to say the same thing... Then I realized that the Demolisher is the most grenade dependant class.

The rest of the classes at least 1 power that they can use in case they ran out. The Demolisher? None.
Without them, she is severely crippled.
I'm fine with sharing my grenades, but if I need them, I'll get them

I don't think so, considering the crazy range.

EDIT: or are the Quarian arcs better?
