well, if they were forbidden, there are two reasons,



1 they taste very sweet indeed.

2 they have more diseases and are quarantined, which would be in line with leliana's big room theory. lol.

I'd say we as living beings, would not be able to handle the extra sweetness of oranges if forbidden. It would be fatal.
