After completing Mass Effect 1, you can use your saves in Mass Effect 2 in 38 days. (yes, that's right, I am counting)
Or check out Vampire The Masquerade, which has been discussed a lot here already. Its a refreshing change from the fantasy genre.

So what's a good game to play after DA:O? I really like this style of game but I dunno what else is out there. Thanks.
Which part of the game is it that you like?
If it's the characters than the previous few Bioware games are a good bet as they've got the same brand of slightly too upbeat and very likeable characters but if it's the party based combat then they're a poor choice as you only control one person.
Of course if you haven't played it Baldurs Gate 2 is similar to but better than Dragon Age is most respects but the dialogue doesn't change much based on who your character is.

Is Mass Effect an RPG like DA:O, or is it a FPS?
It has a third-person shooter type of combat. For dialog, you get a wheel which hints at the general direction that Shepard will take rather than actual words/actions unlike DA:O. Out of BioWare's 'RPG' games, Mass Effect is the most dissimilar to DA:O.

Character interaction with a diverse group of lovable misfits? Check.
Engaging main plot. Check.
Party based combat. Check.
Options between melee, ranged, and "magic". Check.
You're not faced with any moral dilemmas in the vein of Dragon Age, however. How cruel you want your character to act is mostly dependent on whether you want to be a jerk or not rather than any perceived necessity the plot suggests. KotOR is the closest BioWare game to DA in spirit though.
If you can live with only having one follower tagging along at any given time, I also suggest Jade Empire. It's a short, but amazing experience while it lasts. In some ways I enjoy it more than DA.
If you're willing to dig up unofficial patches online then I can't recommend Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines enough. There are no NPC followers and the game takes place in modern Los Angeles, but this in no way detracts from the experience. It's brimming with personality and funny dialogue, and the main storyline has some nice turns to it.
Other than those, I would consider Neverwinter Nights 2 with Mask of the Betrayer expansion. The learning curve may be steep if you're completely unfamiliar with D&D rules, but MotB tells a good enough tale to make it worthwhile.
If you're willing to go back further, try out Baldur's Gate 2. You can take one of numerous classes and travel with five out of fifteen possible companions. BG2 tells another epic tale, has some nice combat, and occasionally great dialogue. It may seem sparser than DA however, as your party doesn't have nearly as much to say and you can't interact with them at all. They choose when to speak with your character or chime into a conversation, and on the whole they still have less to say than DA's cast. Avoid BG1 like the plague if party interaction is vital to you.
You may also consider Planescape: Torment. Unlike BG2, you can approach your group whenever you want. They have a bit more to say and the whole game is much heavier on storytelling. Of the two, I feel Torment is closer to DA than BG2 in storytelling. The problem is, class selection is very limited and you are locked to a specific protagonist. It offers a lot more freedom in how to play that character though. There is more leeway in how to respond to NPCs you meet and quest solving. Whereas BG2 very often boils down to a fight no matter what you say.
Torment can be very text heavy, however. Both these games were made during a time when full voice over wasn't the norm. If you have no patience for reading paragraph after paragraph, Torment is going to grate on your nerves fast. Its combat is also very weak compared to BG2 and DA. Only consider this game if you're in it to see a good story and interesting characters.

Very much true. If you also like third person shooters, you might well like it, but if you're loking for something that plays like Dragon Age, I'd recommend several of BioWare's other games first. Also, you might give Obsidian's Neverwinter Nights 2 a try.

Problem with this is you are going to be disappointed fursur. Some of the older RPG's just don't hold a candle to DAO. I am speaking of the graphics and the voice acting mostly.

I think most conservative option is Neverwinter nights 2. But as Seagloom said, the learning curse is quite steep and the camera controls are slightly annoying

though not a huge vampire fan in general... the story was really amazing. If you are looking for a different type of rpg, I highly recommend this one. Another example of excellent voice acting, fleshed out characters and engaging game play.

Guild Wars is similar. It's a free to play MMO with a combat system close to DA:O's. You can even play it single player and not even miss the other players. Should be pretty cheap now too.
