The thing about the Krysae Nerf...

This now puts them in the spotlight over the Krysae despite all 6 of the mentioined guns being very well balanced in comparison to each other. This means that even more people will become shotgun infiltrators bringing forward an onslaught of Piranha, Reegar, Claymore Infiltrators which will only beckon fourth more threads jjust like the Krysae ones.
These threads will eventually lead to the nerf of said weapon, and-if that nerf is as harsh as the Krysae's nerf it higlights the next weapon down the line, which will likely be another shotgun because of the great synergy it has with the Infiltrators... So now with the Claymore and Krysae nerfed we get "Piranah nerf" threads. Behold: a Piranha and are you starting to see the pattern?
If you nerf all the things BioWare you just get back to square one.One OP weapon is better than 50 UP ones...
This is ofcourse all speculation and could also be avoided through having BSN NOT bwhine but come on: This is BSN they called Tactical Scan OP before it was even released and labelled the Harrier OP because "The Demolisher has Supply Pylon"... Stop crying OP because of good weapon/class synergy!

bioware just needs to stop nerfing they arerare for a reason so bioware stop listening to the little kids who sit there and complain because they cant do anything,so they blame it on a a good weapon good people use and that gets it nerfed
less grammar i use more people listen to me because i throw info at them super fast like lightning and bioware needs to do stuff
Am I doing it right?

I only ever used it once with my Geth Infiltrator (which I rarely even use my GI) just to see what the big deal was regarding the controversial OP and noob cannon rep it had. I was underwhelmed given that I'm a traditional sniper and found it unwieldy to aim..since you couldn't aim it properly and had to just guesstimate area..I totally sucked at using it. I don't know how thats possible but I failed with Krysae...I rock with a Widow.
Then Platinum is introduced and I'm thinking geez, my Widow X barely cuts it in Platinum with my SI and I start thinking of using the Krysae again. Then it gets nerfed The end. LOL

The Krysae nerf is the only nerf I've ever been pleased by. The sigh of relief when I saw it was of epic proportions. I'm a sniper, so IDRC about how powerful other weapon types are. I'm just happy the cheapest sniper of the bunch got the nerf hammer. Now other snipers are not borderline useless as they were.
Nerfing the Krysae did not improve the other sniper rifles. You get that right?

It balanced them. It won't so easily out-shine them now. Ergo, it does affect the other snipers.Atheosis wrote...

EDIT: I meant "borderline useless" in that the Krysae took much less skill to use whilst generally getting more kills than other snipers, which some may consider making using the other snipers less practical. I've always used the Black Widow and topped the scoreboard. Then the Krysae came and players I've played with before who were inferior snipers were doing better than me solely due to the Krysae's nature. That's imbalance and made the other snipers redundant if you're looking for high scores (for personal satisfaction/achievement ot w/e). Now that's not so much the case.

It didn't do anything to them! Don't you see that? There was no balancing of the other guns, no tweaking of stats, no change of thier playstyle.JackumsD wrote...

The Krysae isn't cheaply over-powered, now the other snipers have a better chance of shining again. They were affectedm albeit indirectly. I never said they were literally altered by the recent changes.NeferiusX3 wrote...

You also seem to think that BW combs these forums for feedback and bases all balance changes on what a small minority of players tend to whine about. If they actually do that, I don't think they quite understand the business that they're in ("We are the makers of manners...").
Instead, I tend to believe that they base most balance changes on internal testing (they have testers, you know, that play this game JUST LIKE YOU.... and might notice if a gun that is capable of clearing spawn points on gold is just a wee overpowered) as well reams and reams of match data.

Balancing the Krysae does not equal nerfing other weapons - particularly the URs. This is a logical fallacy.

Actually, I think they do pay some attention to the forums. The best players (I am not one, so this is not e-peen stroking) are here. Bioware internal testers had not, themselves, beaten Platinum after they increased its difficulty from where they could beat it. BSN posters were soloing it within 24 hours.
