Sort of... it's because they're (generally) easier to headshot and we had no way of controlling the headshot multilplier ona per-creature basis. And the headshot multiplier is goofy (3.5x or something like that?), intentionally - because it's normally somewhat harder to do (on a normal creature).

As for your question I think double dmg would be enough to take out low level foes in one shot and help with bosses.

How about making headshots ignore shield gates for normal opponents?
This would actually make aiming for the head with a heavy sniper like the javelin a lot more meaningful even on weaker mobs.

It would also make a good use of the headshot bonuses and gear, for weaker snipers.

If this is at all possible to fix, is there any chance of making it in time for the next patch? Considering how long it's taking to get this next one, it could take a very very very very very very long time before we get another patch and any form of beloved boss headshots along with it. Even a 10% bonus would be good, as long as there's a benefit to actually aiming somewhere.

Because Bioware like to punish people who can aim their shots well... oh wait, that's not a GOOD reason at all >_<
