 I had an offline account before then my hdd crashed but i was able to backup my character. When i reinstalled the game i decided to register as well because i wanted to download additional content. BUT all my achievements were gone. Is there anyway to restore the achievements i had?

Look for the profile.dap file in your backup.

Try replacing the current one with the old one from your backup. Should restore your achievements to what they were.

Just curious. I had this exactly same problem, but I backed up all of my character folders only. Where exactly is this Profile.dap file? I'm not at my home computer now, but will check when I get there. Hoping I can recover all that time and all those achievements. Not that I mind playing it all over again mind you

It is in My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings folder.

Yea, just found it. Thanks Alasaari. I'm guessing that is not one of those things that is kept when it asks if you want to save your games and settings. At least when I chose that during the uninstall, it didn't keep them from what I can tell. Still searching though, thanks.

can I save teh character folder to my desktop and uninstall the game..then reinstall the game and get my characters back by inserting the charcater folder back into the game? How would I do that?

I have a wierd problem, I have most of my achievments left but my achievment for killing harvester on normal and on hard/nightmare is for some reason gone along with a few others after I installed it again on my new computer and downloaded all the dlc again
